This is one of the best Prot Spells in the game right now.

Do you think It'll get fixed in the next update?

I dont see any prot monk NOT running it right now.

For those that dont know, The 5 dmg reduction it gives stacks on itself per attack (first attack gets -5, second -10, etc etc, after just a few attacks you will see alot of -0s ), so basically if the target is getting alot of attack pressure on them this totally stops it for its duration >_>

If you copied it / used an enchant lengthener to keep it up continously, will the damage reduction keep on stacking?

Whenever you recast it, the damage reduction is also reset. It's not that leetsauce IMO, it really requires lots of hits to a single character in quite a small amount of time. I mean it's not bad, but I wouldn't say overpowered.

I tried it myself. It was interesting... I could solo stuff with it - trolls, avicara, even the Shiro'ken. The main problem with it was that you need something to counter degen. With protective spirit and 2 sups on (divine+prot) and you have about 300hp, you can only take 105 damage max before they can't hurt you any more, easily fixed with a little healing. Only catch is the Shiro'kens run away.

I'd say it's a pretty awesome anti spiking spell for pve, it's definitely going onto my bar when I play prot.

But you are right in the fact it is to releive pressure off the target. If a few warriors are on a target, throw this on him and it will often make them consider attacking someone else because its killing their DPS to continue attacking that person.

[skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill] -just wanted to stick that in :-) (mouse over it)
If one warrior is attacking the person with Shield of Absorption on them, and gets in 6 hits during it's duration, it only (yes, only, don't lose your mind) prevents 105 damage, which is roughly the equivalent of [skill=text]Healing Touch[/skill] (healing touch actually heals for a fair bit more i think, with half the recharge). Now, if two people are attacking and each land 6 hits during its duration, it prevents a nice 390 damage (assuming each hit did more than the prevented damage, meaning the 12th hit had to have done at least 60 damage to get the full use out of SoA). If somebody is dumb enough to allow 12 melee hits in 6 or 7 seconds, they will have rendered themselves completely useless due to interrupts/knockdown (since this skill only prevents damage, it doesn't prevent other negative effects of tanking melee attackers, as does [skill=text]Guardian[/skill]), and the attackers should be given a timeout to think about why on earth they would have still been attacking said target.

Just increasing recharge by like 1 second would do this skill in for farming purposes.. I'd rather they do that than change how it works.
