Salvaging FOW armors.

I'm curious about salvaging fow armors. Awhile ago i saw a thread on someone who was quitting and salvaged his male warr fow armor and got some ecto or shards back.

How to maximise the chance of getting the materials back? especially ecto, since they are higher in value compared to obs shards. Does using a normal salvage kit and choosing crafting materials help? or using an Expert salvage kit and choosing crafting materials is better?

Expert of course; normal always gives you crap salvage.

I salvaged a set of FOW once and got 4 ectos and 5 shards from 4 4 peices x.X
