***SPOILERS*** Lore Compilation (tieing up the loose ends) ***SPOILERS***
Guildmaster Cain
With the coming of Nightfall, a lot of loose ends are finally tied. The storyline of Nightfall isnt solely worked out in the primary quests, but also a lot of special quests are giving more insight on the Lore of Guildwars.
To summarize this all and keep track of it, I have created this thread. I will only post the official ingame transcripts, which I hope will give more insight.
I hope others will donate their share of the knowledge they have uncovered during their quests throughout the world of Guildwars. Things that I am interested in are the transcripts from the "Master-quests"
The 6 Gods
They are all siblings (brothers and sisters):
Dhuum and Menzies are aiding Abaddon:
Keeper Zeliss (Gates of Torment): "We are the keepers of Abaddon. Our Task has been complicated of late by the aid the dark god has received from the fallen god, Dhuum, as well as Balthazar's half brother Menzies"
All the gods had predecessors:
New Godess of Secrets
Talking to Avatar of Kormir after killing Abaddon: "Ahai, my friends. Life brings us many twists. My new station has not blinded me. My eyes have adjusted to the darkness between the stars. I sense celestial movement beyond comprehension...
Without you, none of this would be possible. You will forever be my chosen ones. If you have need of me, come to Chantry of Secrets and kneel before my statue. I will always listen."
Talking to Seer of Truth in the Chantry of Secrets: "Kormir knows the truths behind many mysteries. Do you dedicate this offering to one in particular?"
The new phrase has become: "Praise the six gods", instead of the five.

So now there are 6 gods not 5. Wonder if they'll update the HoH with here statue. Though that was one hell of a career change. First a Spearmarshel, demon food and now a goddess.
Guildmaster Cain
Hmm I dont think Kormir ever became a spirit, since she was one of the lucky ones that was sentenced by the gods to the Torment Realm, because she was tainted by Abaddon. That plus the fact that she never attains the translucent state which spirits seem to posess.
Giga Strike
there are still 5 true gods (Balthazar, Dwayna, Grenth, Melandru, and Lyssa)and 4 demi-gods.
kormir is the newest i guess and the only demi-god who isnt suppressed.

When Abaddon is slain, Kormir takes his power.
She replaces him as a 'demi-god.'

Guildmaster Cain
As you can read the scripture on Kormirs Statue, Abaddon is adressed as 'dark god', which clearly states, he has the same rank as the other 5 gods, a.k.a not a demi-god.
It is uncertain wether Kormir takes the same path as the other 5 gods, and performs an exodus, or she remains closer to the planet and its dwellers.

so...abaddon is dead, or just bound with no power whatsoever?
Talic
He's not gone, just his "will is broken", probobly locked away in the depths of knowledge or something.
During the cenimatic after beating abaddon, when "you" first asks kormir if she's abaddon, she says "yes, no, and much more. his will is broken... (more stuff)"
So I dont think he's really "dead", just... broken, and his power and knowledge is kormirs now.

Guildmaster Cain
Maybe Abaddon is 'broken' like Grenth did to Dhuum, when he became god of Death. This means stripping his 'godness' away from him, but he will still remain a immortal being, though lesser then a god. Dhuum apparently also survived Grenth taking over his power.
Gotta finish game again and look carefull at endcine transcripts...

Facts about how the Charr see the Titans as their gods, see above.
Clord
That male warrior say in Chantry of Secrets after you finish final mission that "Praise the six gods".
Audithus
abbadon was a god not a demi-god look at the gates of madness there were 6 god statues one being abbadon, so since Kormir took his place and she is now considered the 6th god. She is not a demi-god either.

I have an INCREADIBLY strong urge that the charr and their gods will be the base of CH4, most likely a civil war between the charr, with us aiding one side. Sorry, De-railed topic. :/

My Dervish demands that she gets Avatar of Kormir, since she's beaten the game and there's six gods now!
The concept of the portfolio of a god transferring to a new person probably makes sense to anyone who's played Nobilis before. Kormir's the new god of secrets/truth. She influences what happens to that domain from here on out, and she becomes its representation. Abaddon has no more say in it insofar as he was defined by his portfolio in the first place.

Im guessing during the great december update that kormir will finally be added, and maybe the statue will lead on to something good...
Guildmaster Cain
nice one firefox... could you post the whole Apostate quest sequence?
I also found a post on the FortuneTeller and found the proof that the gods are siblings (brothers and sisters, if my english is correct).

It'll probably take some time before shrines of Kormir become as widespread as to the other gods, however.
(Future chapters may even include a profession dedicated to Kormir as the Monk, Warrior, Necromancer, Mesmer and Ranger represent the various five gods, or even have Paragons switch to seeing Kormir as their special patron rather than the gods in general...)
some guy
I'm currently on the mission where you kill the weird Canthan body guard and the undead lich dude, so Kormir took Abaddon's powers and became a god her self???

This is interesting... I'd love to know more about the history of the gods. They're referred to as siblings, but it could be a holy term similar to priests and nuns called "brothers" and "sisters". I wonder if the 5 true gods were once mortals as well? But I guess there would have to be gods before them as well, if they did steal their powers from another god. Phew, too confusing.
Also, is this the first in-game confirmation that the Charr worship/ped Titans? Makes me wonder if the Titans used them, like the Mursaat, to try and take over Tyria. So (if I can remember correctly) Mursaat and Charr served Titans, and White Mantle served Mursaat. I wonder if anyone is behind the Titans... Also makes sense now that the Titan quest near Ascalon included high level Charr in the mobs.
Great find though, I love reading stuff like this especially since I didn't finish many quests in Torment. I'll try to remember to take screens if I see anything interesting.

I dont think mursaat served the titan i think they protected the door of komalie so the titans remain in prison and the vizier deceived us to help him open the door thats why the mantles who did serve the mursaat kept sacrificing chosens in the bloodstone to enpower the door

I think Anet did the gods in GW inspired by ancient cultures and mythology, were Gods are aspects of nature or mankind. Light, life, death, beauty, darkness, war etc. Kormir being a goddes of Truth and secrets would pretty much qualify as a goddes of wisdom as well. And in ancient cultures the idea of a human being ascended to a divine level because of his/her great deeds isnt that crazy either. And if Anet is ever going to expand on the "true" God in GW ( wich I think they will), I think it would actually be a couple, God and Godess.
