I was shocked, when I discovered there were no Sunspear nor Istani (1k armor) available to the core professions in PvP. However, we did get the ability to use the Canthan armors in PvP when GWF was released.

So please, ANet, could you add these to PvP? I don't care if we have to unlock them by faction. As long as it is possible to wear all non-prestige armors in PvP someday

You can get Prophecies and Canthan armor for PvP characters, why not Elonian?

I'm hoping that the PvP armors (as well as at least Tyrian armors for PvE) are slated to be added in an upcoming update.

It's probably not added, so we wouldn't notice the very small amount of new armours in Nightfall....
