Guild Wars Voice Actor Index!
I know that a lot of us wonder who gracefully added their voice talent to the game. Well, this Index was created for that purpose.
Voice Acting is nothing new. But it has become increasingly important in Video Games of the 21st Century. ArenaNET has chartered one of the best Voice Casting services in the field to give you top quality. These voices on this list are linked to some of the most talented people out of Hollywood and abroad. Many of these people also has done work in plenty of popular media out there including English Dubbed Anime, American Animation, Television, Movies, Traditional Theater, and of course other Video Games. Despite whether or not you liked the way they sound or acted in a particular Guild Wars Chapter, these people go on to do more successful projects all the time.
Below is a List of the Voice Actors from Guild Wars and links for more information on those people.

I have been informed by the very helpful Ms Gray that they are unable to give any information on the people who did the voices for their characters because the work was completely outsourced. As in, they actually do not know themselves. Or the impression given was that they do know and I'm not allowed that information. Either way, I am left to connect the dots myself or wait for those actors to update their individual sites/resumes with the info.
If anyone have any suggestions or tidbits on voices anyone recognizes that would help to complete this list, feel free to post them.

This is some awesome information. Thanks Omega!

The first time I heard Zhed speak in Nightfall, I thought "Rurik, is that you?".

But I want to be sure before I put their roles up.
I also found it funny that the SouthPark lady was a voice in GW more than once.

This list is a good idea, but how would you be sure about who acted what? I don't think there has been any official lists around. Voice actors in computer games tend not to get much credit for their work, sadly.
Martian_Kyo
I was always fascinated by the fact that there is a whole world of voice actors, people who specialize in voice acting only... such people are vastly unappreciated. Acting is 80% in the voice.

Also, some of those voices are so pronounced and so popular that all I need is to hear them once. Steven Jay Blum is a very, very, very popular voice actor and I can spot him on a rainy day with thunder firing every second.
But I sent an email to Gaile's department. Hopefully they will be nice enough to give me the info so I don't have to go about playing match the name with the voice.
Ulivious The Reaper
Nice list, now if only i knew who did acolyte jins voice, :'(
Oh well, isn't it odd how some of the people who do the voices look similar to some people in game like Hakeem looks vaugely similar to koss and Ron Canada looks like Dunkoro!

The list of roles (voices) under Steven Jay Blum (male hero) when you click on those links is very impressive. I've always thought his voice was the best in the entire game.
Arcador
Tell me who did Visu's voice. I just got enough money for plane ticket over the atlantic... :P

I'm working on matching the roles. A lot of them have their own website with audio samples.

I am convinced, based on her role as Ashe in FFXII, that Kari Wahlgren is the VA of Varesh.

Btw, isn't Steven Jay Blum (male hero voice) the same guy who does the voice for Shishio in Ruroni Kenshin TV series??
I am pretty sure it's him but I didn't see it listed on his link.
Either way, he does have some impressive voice, imo.

I would love to know who played Acolyte Jin in Nightfall (I <3 her xD),
and Countess Danika Zu Heltzer from Factions (she's sweet xP)

Hakeem Kae-Kazim really scared the poop out of me in Hotel Rwanda. He was the guy on the radio urging all of the Hutus to murder all of the Tutsis. His voice gives me nightmares.
...And I named my Nightfall Dervish Tutsi Tatiana, which is a little creepy.
toolek?! DANIKA? Danika is the pinnacle of horrible voice acting! In fact, all of my friends laugh and cringe at the same time when they hear her speak. I never skip her cutscenes just so I can revel in the absurdity. And Master Togo's voice is a little strange in the Minister Cho's cutscene. Oh, Factions... Every time I think of Factions voice actors, I hear "beware... the harvest.. CEREMONY!" in my head. -.-;;
I can safely say that the only non-PC character voice I like in Factions is Count zu Heltzer's. And ditto on Acolyte Jin, her voice is hot.
In all seriousness, I really love voice acting as a profession. I have some friends that work on American dubs for different anime (like Excel Saga and ADV films' releases), and I like people who can play up a role without killing it.

This is an interesting list. I would like to know who plays what role also but this a great start~ I say these voice actors are overdue for some fanboys of their own
Edit: So far looking through these I'm most interested in Kari Wahlgren. Especially since she's been in some of my favorite games of all time. Tales of Symphonia, Jade Empire, Final Fantasy XII, and of course Guild Wars.

I don't have a list of any of the voice actors in Guild Wars. And I have no idea where such a detailed list came from. Perhaps just following links on websites? As far as I know, ArenaNet has never released a list of voice actors. I know we use an agency for hiring voice actors and that at least one ArenaNet rep and our sound engineer are active in the recording sessions. I can ask if there is more information to be had, of course, but the person I would ask is traveling so it will be at least two weeks before I can obtain that info, if it is even available.
Oh a GW forum
The first time I ever heard his voice in a cutscene I knew it was Steven Blum... I'd recognize that voice anywhere.
I love bebop.
I love bebop.

Whomever did the Factions and Nightfall Credits list on the site must know something. Unless that person created names from thin air or someone did it for them.
Anyway, I am grateful for any kind of information I can get at this point.

I knew I recognised Master of Whispers' voice from somewhere. Keith Szarabaijka was also Matt Stoner, the Empath Telepath in Babylon 5 Also a couple of roles in Star Trek from the looks of it.

I'll continue to add in names until Gaile delivers.
But until then if anyone else recognize any familiar voices, feel free to post the info.

Is it not clear that's what I was going to try to acquire?
That, or the posters in this thread don't bother to read the post to which they're responding.
Edit to add: Omega -- I just wanted to mention that, since voice actors are so talented and so versitile, it's not safe to make "attributions" based only on voice familiarity. That's making assumptions, and you know what they say about "assume." Unless we can provide a list, I'm afraid that a list based on vocal recognition alone would be pretty flaky.

Robin Atkin Downes' voice is quite easy to recognise... he voiced at least Zhed Shadowhoof, Prince Bokka the Magnificent and Dunkoro's Son in Nightfall, and of course Rurik's both forms in Prophecies.
Aoshi Shinomori
Without a doubt, Kari Wahlgren is voice of Tahlkora. Her voice acting in Samurai Champloo, Shadow Hearts: Convenant, Wolf's Rain, Witch Hunter Robin, and Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cereberus sounds right on par with Tahlkora's voice. Not to mention the fact that she's already credited to the role in her Wikipedia entry.

I am still patiently waiting on that list. No pressure at all btw.
But until then, I will fill the list based on assumption and human voice recognition from the actors/actresses previous works. Flaky that maybe but at least I will have something to fall back on just in case. When the official list arrives, I can change names to the correct places if I managed to get them wrong some how.

And I THINK that Julianne Buescher does the voice of the Female hero in NF and maybe even the voice of Acolyte Jin. Judging from some of the samples on her website, her voice sounds just about right for both parts, but I can't say that with absolute certainty.
