Followed While Running

I was running for the old Ice Caves in Mineral Springs today, wanted to try my hand at IDS farming, because I want one. At first things are going pretty good, I've got the running down, I'm staying alive. But then I noticed something. Namely, a few spell casters would follow me halfway across the map, even with a large gap in between me and them. It was only the casters that would bother though, none of the Rangers or Warriors. I never noticed this running anywhere else.

Is it something that got added recently, do I just have bad luck, or is this something always seen in the Springs?

Its all over the game. Casters don't like it when you run off while they're trying to cast a spell on you, and now they'll follow you until you let them.

But before they would tend to cast, and then move off, or just give up the chase after a while. These guys would cast, then run up and stand next next to me and cast, which I'd never seen before.

Try running chests in Witman's Folly. You can round up all the Grawl Crones in the map, run to a clean area, and wand them all to death when they stand just within your aggro bubble doing nothing.

Caster AI is either bugged, or has been tweaked to include this annoying bit of coding. It's something we'll just have to deal with, for the time being.

they seem to be able to keep up with me aswell, even if i keep charge and sprint on

I can usually start to open a small gap with either sprint or charge, but those Avicara are quick little buggers.

The mergoyles in NKP have become a real pain while ettin farming. They follow you forever and begin to kite like crazy if you decide to kill them.
