Shortcut to Consulate Docks?

I was in Consulate docks earlier, just looking around, when I noticed something. I saw a level THREE Necromancer (no secondary). Now, I've got sevral new characters and so I know that in order to even get to the second mission, you have to be level 5 AND have a secondary profession.

Here's a screenshot:

Now the question is, how did this person get there? The game shouldn't allow for this to happen.

The worst part is, I saw the guy when he came in, and he went straight to the armour merchant and bought a set of FULL ARMOUR LEVEL armour (he bought a different looking set).

I really hope to figure out HOW this person achieved this miracle, and have it fixed because it is obviously not supposed to be possible.

He got there from Tyria likely. Once, you were able to exit presearing without a secondary. So he did, rushed through presear with little to no xp, got run to LA, and saved the char there. Then, when NF came out, got help to get to Elona. Just a theory.

Improbable, but it's the best theory as of now. If I remember correctly, you can skip the "Choosing Secondary Profession" part by talking to a Primary Profession trainer or some sort like that.

Ok, the person (uppon inspection) was CLEARLY Elonian.

Also, there is still the fact that you MUST be level 5 (part of a primary quest) to continue to the second mission (Jokanur Diggings).

It's too grainy to tell; even if the skin was black, it wouldn't necessary mean he's Elonian. Guild Wars (the First one) also features black skin for Male Necromancers.

he was "ferried" by other people who have access to that area of the game.

By inspection I meant that when I saw him in game, I took a good look. He was clearly an Elonian.

There's your answer. Group up with someone who can access the area, travel there, buy armour.

If someone has the Time is Nigh quest, whether that person is from Tyria, Cantha or Elona, when they choose to move onto the Consolate Docks mission they take along any people in thier party. They are "ferried" as korcan said.

Once there they cant do the mission but they can buy the high level armor. I had my new mesmer and dervish ferried over after I beat the first training mission so now they have some nice armor at Level 3.

Its not a very big deal, just a headstart on good armor. Now that the word is out I'd imagine people will start charging.

Either 1: He is not elonian. Chars from all continents can be black-ish like he appears to be.
or 2: There's a bug that lets high level people mule friends into mission areas when they shouldn't. We've seen it in GW before.

That's right. Low level arenas are serious business.

It doesn't matter if they are low level arenas. They deserve the same protections and oversight any other form of PvP gets. Not left to become a sideshow simply because they are "low level".

They are meant to be an introduction to PvP, let people get their feet wet, why would anyone want their first taste of Guild Wars PvP to be some tool with max armor decimating them because they are there "legitly"?

That's it right there.

While playing on my paragon last night, I saw someone "ferrying low lvls to get max armor for 5k" in Sunspear Great Hall(Think that's what it is called). So I logged onto both my accts and tested it out with rit, both my rit and lvl13 paragon that can't even get "The Time is Nigh" quest yet got into the mission area. It works. -_-

Yes, I just tested this a little while ago unknowingly. My dervish who had the sunspear general quest and my friend who had it completed finished it with me in her party, I was taken to Venta Cemetery and not only did it take me there I got the reward and I was able to do the mission. Pretty big bug but I really don't mind it.

Why are you getting at with this? He/She is low level, let peoples do what they like. They paid for the game not for YOUR enjoyment but for their own sake. I mean i can be level 1 (which i don't like to do) and be at consulate docks. Can we just leave the low level peoples alone?

It's the same as getting the droks run which in my opinion is fine except for people playing through their first time...

I think as far though as the Arenas go they should not only have a level restriction but an armor restriction to match it.

*hugs Grim*

Edit: From Gaile Gray chat: I don't think Ferrying is an exploit. I will ask if you.
Now, if you are charging cash for that, then we need to talk, cause that's just wrong ;p

I mean low levels don't bother me unless they are using you to beat the missions for them.
