In reply to str8up's original thread "Character Jumping" this is simply a thread with a substantially less misleading thread name.

Is it just me or does everyone think it would be cool if you could jump from one of your characters to the other without loging off. This would be awsome and if you could somehow exchange items between your characters instead of the whole log off put weapons in storage then log back onto previous character to get items. this would be so much easier if you could somehow pull up your other characters like you do heros in nightfall and select the weapon or item you need. if there is a previous post like this one im sorry but i did look and wasnt able to find one. what do you guys think?
I completely agree with this idea, typing in my password EVERY time i want to change characters is very tiresome, however, rather than simply a menu button that allows us to do-so, this problem could be solved simultaneously with the item transfer troubles.

Simply put, the guild hall. A separate section in each hall is introduced, and accessed by speaking with an npc in the hall. In this small area of the hall, we find our other characters mulling about, talking, wandering, dancing, napping, possibly even fighting.

Talking to the characters opens up some minor dialog based on the last mission they completed. Something like, "I just flew in from the Divinity Coast, and boy are my arms tired." Two options will appear, inventory access, and character swap. You would be able to swap items to the characters you wanted with ease, and leave the hall as another character.

This could also provide a new money sink. Personal areas can be customized with god-knows-what.

If A-Net is worried about people using "Mule Characters" wherein, they simply use a character to hold items and increase the size of the inventory, I have news: this already happens. With the advent of purchasable character slots, putting things of value in the storage and then swapping transferring them to on of their mule characters is a commonality. On top of that, A-Net once stated that they wanted to discourage "muling" by linking the storage account between characters.

This will end the bitching over both issues.

Your Thoughts.

read my post in the quite misleading other thread.

typing the -password <password> syntax behind the command line in your GW shortcut's properties covers the constant retyping of the password.
