Beast master woes...

Is it possible to get your pet to attack while you are holding a quest item in place of weapons? There are numerous items that have to be carried for various durations on the map and you can't attack while holding them. And some of them will be destroyed if you drop them. So how can I get my pet to attack (other than tanking and hoping to get attacked so my pet will defend me)?

I am quite certain that you can order your pet to attack by using CTRL + Space, without dropping the item you're holding.

And if that doesnt work, use CTRL, Shift and Space, that definately works

I do CTRL + space for all of my henchie guidance and it does no good in this situation for the pet, I'll try adding shift in the mix and see how that works. Thanks.

EDIT: Just tested and it does not work. The only way the pet attacks while I'm holding, is if I het hit a couple of times then he defends me...

Yep, I 've never had success with shift space or shift control space. Only could get them to attack to defend me.
