Class - Elementalist

This is a partial question and partial confusion I have 2 charecters at level 20 elementalist... and a ranger.. I love the Elementalist its on a nuker build. but the only issue is I die way before I can do a lot of damage. so in a quest if i have a good team I can fight well. How do you keep a ranger alive for extended periods of time. and what can i do to keep my elementalist alive. Stupid question i know.I would like to read a ranger guide or something. all the people who use a ranger love it for some reason. I want to know why?

1) Stay in the backlines ans kite off warriors. Your monks should cover any dmg you take.

2) Rangers are fun. :\

You should have max armor, assuming you're to the point where it is available. What are you using for runes? For a normal playing build I have 1 superior and the rest minors, plus the biggest vigor I can get.

A ranger has defenses - stances - and an elementalist has earth spells for protection or armor boosts, so your entire bar should not be filled with offense.

What are you using for gear? Does it have either +armor or +health, since getting killed seems to be a problem?

Finally, what skills are you using? Both of those professions can perform fine from range and have no need to get in close with the fighters.

My Elementalist stays up front with the warriors and often out-lives many of them. The key, I believe, to having a stable elementalist build is using Aura of Restoration, combined with whatever Atunment you want; and of course Earth armor.

My guy is solely an Earth ele. which means his Earth armor is very effective, but, even with a couple of points in Earth it should work quite well. Furthermore, don't be afraid to use some wards if you get the opportunity in your skill bar.
