Hi all!
I have a new laptop which has a hard time playing guild wars. Sometimes i have missing graphics such as skills recharging and models ingame.
When the game starts it runs smooth and better than my other computer (not a laptop). But then after a few minutes everything is bugging. Sometimes it quits out of the game intirely with the message:
Very Fatal error happened send error report to Anet bla bla bla.
Other times it just is very buggy.:S I've reinstalled before and it didnt help
My system:
Hp Laptop
Amd Mobile Sempron 3000+
1024 Ram
Direct X 9.0c
Can't find the exact graphicscardname but its ati mobility radeon xpress 200m SERIES.
It repairs Data archive everytime i start GW.
ATM i've deleted gw.dat and trying to do the -image thing.
Hope u have suggestions. I believe that i have all the latest drivers btw.

It is hard to tell, but it sounds like you might be having hard drive issues.
Laptop drives are getting smaller and faster every year. This also leads to more heat. Excessive heat (from the drive and other components) can either degrade drive reliability, or result in premature failure.
This is on the extreme side, but I would reccomend a complete reinstall of XP. And when you do the format, do the full format, not the quick format. This is more likely to catch drive errors. Also make sure you are running on a laptop cooling pad. This will help prevent overheating.

Cooling on a laptop is more important that in a tower. I also run a laptop at work with the same graphics chipset (mines a Hewlet Packard DV8000 series). Other than a beign a bit choppy it runs Guild Wars very well. As Mushroom said it sounds like you are having Hard drive troubles. Either take the laptop to a shop that can replace it for you or (this is not recommended for people not familiar with the working inside a laptop) buy a new one from somewhere and install it your self. Installing a new hard drive into a Laptop can be tricky due tio the small space, unlike a tower where you can almost crawl in to it, so just be careful no matter which way you go.
