Odd glitch...

For some reason I've been running across groups of enemies that aggro at radar range rather than the aggro circle. I'm pretty sure this isn't supposed to happen. So far the only one that does it regulary is a patrol near 4 shadow monks in the FoW. I've got an image of a kournan group doing this though.

If there is a mob in the group called a "spotter" they can see and attack you from far away. As you pass the forts in these areas you can get bombarded with a Kornan Siege Attack or some such from a Spotter/Field Commander team and be nowhere near aggroing anything.

If there isn't a spotter in the group, then yes it's probably a glitch

If they have Kournan Spotters in the pack, then this is intended. but of course you would know this reading the dialouge of missions and quests =p

Some times if its a quest or mission its activated that dont matter if its in agro ot not they just come to you

I've noticed certain mobs that will do that once already aggroed before, as well (smite crawlers, for instance).

The mob he showed has a spotter, as said above. I know, because I very recently brought my Ranger through Kourna, and that mob had attacked me quite alot doing quests because of it's spotter. There's another mob of Kournans close by that have a spotter as well.
