HAven't seen anything in any of the release notes but there are still problems with the grey giant and not wanting it to slip off the radar of concerns.
The issues:
Non- Elonaian characters couldn't get the quest. - I believe you addressed that this would be fixed.
People deleting characters that had the giant on them. - Most likely can't or won't be fixed. Be careful when you delete your characters.
Incopmete quest, now locked out - I created a new elonian character just to do the quests. Once I got the broken toy, I ran out to do what was asked. At which point the broken toy became what looked like a full Mini pet. I transfered teh mini pet to a permanenant character and deleted that character. When I looked at it, it showed as a quest item. Now I can't get any character to activate the quest sequence again to finish the last half of the quest and turn it into a full mini pet. I have two extra magazines but can't use the code off either of them as I already have the key tied to my account.
An update would be great.
Thanks
Gaile, any update on Grey Giant?

Why didn't you just follow the quest through it's completion? Jeez, are you trying to break the thing on purpose?
Meh.... free bump for you, I guess.

Don't need a free bumb, but thanks. I didn't do the whole quest because I didn't remember there needing to be a second part to it (and magazine didn't say either) when I did it during the free preview event. Everything was hectic that first day, people trying to figure out what the hell was actually going on. So when I just looked in the inventory and saw the icon for the item had changed from a broken toy to what looked like a whole mini pet with gold text, I thought it was done and traded it away to my other account not realizing there was a second part to the quest.

Something about deleting the quest from your quest log tells me that you should have realized something was up and in all honesty, the problem isn't a bug but your own poor judgement. Why should ANet have to do something to rectify the situation?
