Chat Improvement Request (Gag Spammers)

The amount of spamming that goes on in both local and trade chat is overwhelming. Don't know if it has been suggested before, but this is perhaps one solution to having less of this nuisance around. Simply implement a gag feature (not being funny), where, if someone has exceeded a number of lines of the same text or, repeatedly posting messages in a short period of time, their local and trade chat should be disabled for 5-10 minutes. Please post other ideas related to the chat feature here.

There are numerable such things in the suggestions forum, you'd be better off continuing a thread there, as the Riverside is not the place for these things.
