This website is slow...

Ok, I just spent about 20 min loading up from the home page to the forums and finally go tto this point where I can post. Is it just me or is this website ridiculously slow, especially since this last update?
I tested it out and my side of the connection is fine with a 1 gb/s connection and downloads coming in at 550kb/s average and also no spyware etc.
Is it they do not support proxies or is it just the server host their website has that is making it ridiculously laggy?

im noticing some different looks -- i think tehy are doing a major overhaul to the site right now

yes it is pretty slow with the new themes that have been introduced it has got ALOT slower, than normal, but when it does load its very pretty

yeah its a big slow but well worth it looks verry nice now

It's always good to cause trouble on a website just before a weekend! You'd think they'd have done this on monday or tuesday so they had a couple days to get it squared away...

I don't even see the pretties. It's taking so long to load all I'm getting are those lovely red cross-in-a-box-es ^^'

ForgeWhelp, traffic drops off during the weekend. People are playing not browsing. It's quite the opposite of what you may think. Our busiest days are Monday - Tuesday from 11AM PST - 4PM PST.

Presumably when the majority of American/Canadian players are working or at school and pointing their browsers this way during their breaks...

Well color me foolish then. Me and mine typically use the site WHILE we're playing on the evenings and weekend. I guess I am a vocal minority! Woohoo!

It's pretty painful to have both you guys and guildwiki down at the same time. It's ALMOST enough to send me looking for info elsewhere, almost...

Then why is it as laggy as it was for the 6 months of Factions? We had a nice little 2 week not very laggy run there.......but it's back to sucking.

Between guru and wiki, it's brutal trying to find an simple answer to a simple question.

The speeds seem back to a respectable rate.. for now at least
