Dev Update: PBP, PvP Editions, & Character Slot

Here's some good news for those who purchased both the Prerelease Bonus Pack and the PvP Edition of Nightfall. Last night, we realized that we should make sure that everyone who had Nightfall's Prerelease Bonus Pack and who then added a Nightfall access key was given the extra character slot provided by the PBP. That was happening just fine with the Nightfall retail version, but it turns out that those who purchased the Nightfall PvP Edition were not receiving the extra character slot.

So, for those who purchased the Prerelease Bonus Pack and the Nightfall PvP Edition, we've made sure that you now have that extra character slot on your account. Enjoy!

Wow. that's cool... Its getting close to the point that the Boxed retail product is going to be obsolete... I wonder how long its going to be before Anet pulls a EA trick and makes a chapter for ONLINE purchase only? humm... This would certainly be a HUGE profit margin for Anet... No distribution, No Packaging, No disc manufacturing... Humm... interesting....

In any case TY for not forgetting those masses that did get the preorder and bought the product online... Its always good to see a company catch their error and make good on it.

I'd say that would likely lose a large chunk of the player base as part of the appeal of GW is that you don't need a credit card or anything.

Also, she's not talking about people that just bought it from the ingame store (they already got their slot); she's talking about people that just bought the pvp edition for the skill unlocks.
