Paragon shouts affect minions?
Sowaka
I was wondering... would a Paragon shout affect a necromancers minions? I have made a necromancer in Nightfalls and I'm trying to decide on a secondary profession and so far a Necro/Para seems like a pretty nice build... but would it actually work out okay? Would there be any problems that I run into?
Also, do minions count as allies? I recall a paragon skill that heals you for 10 health for each ally within earshot but I dont know if minions would count as allies.
I was also wondering about the hero skill trainer... are all the skills you learn free? I read something about hero skill points but I cant find them anywhere... where do I go to see how many hero skill points I have? And... where do I trade in battle commendations? Someone in the game said something about trading them in to someone but didnt elaborate on it.

Technically, they would be allies. So I'm almost positive the shouts should effect them.

I'm fairly certain that the minions are affected. In the Paragon or Necro section, Zinger made a thread about this and I remember it saying in the thread that they are affected.

They are effected by "Charge" so I would say yes, any should that effects allies should effect them.

1) Yes, minions are allies.
2) Yes, shouts and chants affect all allies. That includes NPC, pets and minions, not just party members.

So, according to that other topic, a N/P could be devestating with Go For The Eyes!

Just remember that many of the "Ally" shouts require that ally to do something like cast a spell or use a skill to activate the skill. Minions will get the shout on them but wont be able to do whats needed to use them. There are some nice ones that they can use however, like Go For The Eyes, Find Their Weakness and Never Surreneder (off the top of my head).

It sounds like leaders comfort will be a huge self heal for a paragon with an MM in his party too.
very good to know

AFAIK Leader's Comfort has a limit.. But I'm not too sure on that

has a limit i guess at 140!
but its a good idea to go for N/P believe that could be usefull. espiecially with the ranged minions (fiends). but u can simply try out. make one minion and compare the healing of leaders comfort with the minion in range and the minion dead. then u know if theyre affected

The trouble with Leader's Comfort is that it is from the Paragon's primary attribute. Great for Paragons in MM groups, but not as reliable as Heal Area on a MM's skill bar.
