question about heros armor

ok so i tried searching for this but i suck at searches and can never find anything anytime i search so heres my question. so can u change the appearance of your heros armor at all? i know it upgrades itself ad they level, and u can put runes on them but can u make them look good as well? can they equip your customized armor like they can ur customized weapons? im guessing its a no to all my questions but i thought id ask anyway. also can some one tell me how to use the search the right way? im always seeing people say "theres already another thread about this here....(link)" but even then i try and search and find nothing! am i just way too tired? or am i just a dumb forum noob? lol

1. You can change the appearance of your heroes' armor with special items won in challenge missions. See this thread.

4. Search for the right terms; in this case, searching for "hero armor" found several threads on alternate hero armors.
