Deathbringer W/N
ashed
I noticed alot of people looking for this green scythe Deathbringer. I checked the guild wars wiki for the location of the boss and used the general grenths balance / riposte build with some changes.
W/N
Sword 15
Strength 13
Skills:
Grenths Balance (E)
Heal Signet
Endure Pain
Dolyaks Signet
Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Slash
Final Thrust
The path:
Leave from Venta Cemetary into Sunward Marches. Follow the path below...
You can bring heros and henchmen to clear everything up to the boss, then simply send them back far enough that they wont get any drops from the boss. I usually waypoint the hill back by Venta Cemetary. Once they are grey on your party list, start fighting the boss.
The skill usage is pretty much the same as the old riposte build. You begin the fight with Dolyak Signet and start hitting the boss. When Sever Artery is available, I use it. At around 500 hp, Deathbringer spikes me a few times, until I am around 1 to 20 hp. Once you are that low, fire off Grenths Balance to heal and damage the boss. After Deathbringer spikes you that low, the is more than enough time to hit Grenths Balance, so dont worry about your health being that low. After Grenths Balance, use Gash, Galraths Gash, and Final Thrust. Constantly keep Dolyaks Signet up for the added armor. At some point, around 100 health, you might be able to use Grenths Balance. If that is not the case, hit Endure Pain and finish Deathbringer off with your attacks.
To tell you the truth, I have soloed this boss more times than I'd like to admit, and have not seen the scythe drop. Wiki says thats who drops it, and the name sort of makes that obvious. Hopefully someone else has more luck than I do.
This would be Deathbringer.
Hope this helps.

I am sure this build works nicely. But replacing Final and Galrath with the two ripostes is faster imo. They block attacks, plus it is very nice and spammable damage.
sage tank
take a group of hench, kill everyone except mob, then send them off map, kill the boss yourself (if you can't do that then dont bother farming) easy farming.
Cracko
Take out sever and galrath, take Riposte and Deadly riposte, but yeah, it works! thanks.
chicks boy

i was thinking about doing the two ripostes as well, but the other skills worked well enough so i kept them. the boss is pretty easy so either way works. thanks for comments though.

Dont need Dolyak. Let him pound you and make good use of a good Grenths Balance spike right off the bat. Bring both Ripostes to cover his attacks and you're good to go. You may want to bring a IAS to speed up the recharge of Riposte to make it faster or you can just stick to swinging your sword. Whatever floats your boat. Use heal sig when GB is down and make sure to cover it with a riposte.

Just got online and tried it with Grenths Balance, Heal Signet, Endure Pain, Sever Artery, Gash, Riposte and Deadly Riposte, Bonetti's Defense. It was much quicker than the other setup. Use Grenths when needed, when he is too low, fire off Endure Pain and beat him down. By that time he will be so low that a Riposte or two will easily take care of him.
Still didnt get it to drop though

Cold Hearted - Take henchies and kill the mobs, then move all you're henchies out of ranger and you will get 100% of drops
Cold Hearted Zero
that takes longer lol :P but ill try it out thx
