there are a couple areas in the fortress that i cannot find a way to get to in either the mission or explorable areas. both times the gates leading to the areas are blocked off (all the gates to the fortress in the explorable area are closed so i cant even get into the actual fortress. is there something i have to kill to open the gates or is there a path into the area that i am missing?
a guildie just said that i had to complete the pogahn passage mission in order to exlpore the whole explorable area, can anybody confirm this?

If you have the Pogahn Passage mission you can map that Fortress and the western side...
Once in the mission, head down to the western beach and look for the light blue area on the radar/mission map...head west then drop south and you'll map the western edge of the fortress that can't be gotten by exploring inside the fortress itself.
Also, keep heading west and you'll clear a small expanse of land
