GuildWiki...what is happening?

Does anyone know what is happening with our favorite knowledge site: GuildWiki??? It has been down for a looooon time

It hasn't been down (for me) for too long, just since around 11ish this morning - American Central GMT-6. BUT it has been beeing slow loading and a little "under the weather" for a while now. A few days ago a message went up saying that with the release of NF they've had a major increase in site visitation and that's why it is running so slowly. I don't recall them saying they were going to take drastic measures to fix it, just let it cool itself out.

Now that it's gone out entirely I don't know if it's been overloaded with people and it broke or if they took it offline to fix the extremely slow loading issues. It was to the point for me that I could visit only certain pages. Don't know about everyone else.

In the mornings GMT+1 I can only access the main page (with difficulty). But it is reallt strange that they have not posted anything about the troubles?

Hmm, I had seen something a while ago. I'll check and see if I can access/find anything.

EDIT: I'm still not even able to access it. Sorry man =/ Guess we have to wait it out, unless one of the mods here has contact with someone over there and can give insight.

Thanks aera, I think they must have just decided to take it offline because it was just going TOO slow and they couldn't take it. Well that OR they got the new software and will be setting it up for a while. Should be back in this week.

Its just slow at the moment... I can' wait for the proposed server upgrade.

Did the admin appoint some one with more knowledge with servers or something?

No, it's called replacing the server.
