Omg 1337 Haxorz Skills!!!!

This is actually a problem that puzzled me for a while.

Things you need to know to figure it out the answer:

Attributes
14 dagger mastery
10 shadow arts
12 critical hits

Weapon:
Ungues of Oni (customized)

Skills:
Mark of Instablility
Black Lotus Strike
Twisted Fangs
Falling Spider
Blades of Steel

The problem:
Lately, I was browsing the assassin skill tab for a priest of Balthazar, I saw the skill, Blades of Steel. I have never considered it before, but hey, I bought it from a skill trainer. I used it with some builds, it's a great finishing move, for some weird reason I decided to use other dual attacks, I tried Death Blossom, but it did not match the damage of Blades of Steel.

Here is the strange part, at 14 dagger mastery, Death Blosssom dose +42 damage, Blades of Steel dose +13 damage for each recharging attack,if you do the math, using the skills I said earlier, the total damage for blades of steel is +39 (black lotus strike, twisted fangs, falling spider) from those 3 dagger attacks. In theory death blossom should outdamage blades of steel, but it didn't, I whacked some 60 al dummies on the island, the average damage of blades of steel is about 75-85 damage on the first hit, 55-65 on the second hit, for death blossom, the average damage on the first hit is about 50-60 (got 72 but only once out of 10 tries), the average damage is about 45-50.

So my question is, how dose blades of steel outdamage death blossom??

Assassins, try this out, so far I'm stumped.

This is actually a quiet old build that appeared before NF came out. It's a strong combo except relies too much on one hex sticking. BOS out damages it because it counts itself for a dagger skill too.

Really, I never knew that, but technically, it isn't recharging, so I don't think it should count it self as a skill.

I think he did answer your question- Blades of Steel is counting itself as recharging, so it's +52 (capped at 50) rather than +39. This narrowly beats Death Blossom.

Yes it works in the same way as the ranger elite Enraged Lunge, which also counts itself as recharging.

I'd put HoTo in there...way more usefull than BoS.
