Problem after reinstall

I recently formatted and reinstalled my PC,

I downloaded the GW client, and started downloading the files to play, I cancelled it, deleted the gw.dat and used the -image switch..

I then left it to download over night, and I checked today, and the gw.dat file is 6.5GB in size..

This seems odd as it shouldnt be more than 3GB or so...

however, I have over 400GB of space so im not too bothered about that..

I start up Guild Wars, and Set my GFX Settings to 4x AA, and all high (how I ran it before reinstall) -- and the Frame rate has dropped to like 2 FPS.. when i was getting 70+ before reinstall on the same settings..

im usin an ATI Radeon x1800 GTO, with the latest drivers
3GB of Ram
on an Athlon X2 4200+

has anyone got any ideas???

probably the fact that your data file is about 3.85GB too big and/or your computer is fragmented. to get your data file size down follow these instructions (they should work with any guild wars cd) http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...8&postcount=31
