For some reason whenever I go out into the area before the Gate of Madness there are tons of these. Rain of Terror. Water spikers are horrid. I see alot of these, as many as 4 groups with 4 each right outside the Gate leading to the Madness one. Anyone else have this problem? I cannot think of the name of the area off the top of my head or I would be more specific. i think it is outside the Gate of Fear, its the place you get the Apostate quest.
With so many out there I can barely do anything out there. Is there a quest which spawns them or am I just unlucky?

I don't know if it's the same area but there is an area that when i exit there is so many that i die by a rez shrine and rez up only to be attacked but those that have split into even more of themselves and the few shadow of terror or whatever that create the bone minions.. so i'm screwed in a flash... after that i just ran on past

I give anet 1-2 weeks to nerf this. Not that it would actually give you any big advantage or anything, the drops arent that good(check the 3rd image) and to actually farm LB points it takes about 5 minutes too long to groupem up but it was fun nevertheless. =D

P.S.: Just found that it is an awesome way to gain skillpoints solo using berserker scrolls as they dont run no matter how low on health they are and no matter how many of them i got SS'ed.

I've been screwing around out there solo myself. Kind of disappointing drops though. Many, many non-max armor, and damage weapons. Makes ya want to go back soloing uw and fow.
The rains do suck if there's enough in a group to spike you down and you don't get your strategy right when you first engage them. Once you figure them out they aren't really a problem at all. A good prot hero will save the day against them. Sending in your warrior hero first to the enemy group by using "shift + ctrl + space" means a guaranteed spike on the high defense warrior and none of your squishies. GG=dead rain of torments.
