Well, you can do both of the mission later, and you can get any heroes you didn't pick after the end of the game. Don't worry about "missing out" stuff.

That being said, having an extra Necro helps out a lot in the last few missions, so I would recommend Master. However, it doesn't make a whole lot of diffrence, and you can still do them with just Olias as your sole Neco.
It's up to you.

On my Ranger, I picked Margrid just so I can have a thee-man... er, women... barrage/pet team with my two Ranger heroes

A good place to start is what heroes do you have already? If you have Prophecies picking up Olias (Necro Hero) is a pretty simple matter. If you've already chosen Acolyte Jin then you already have one ranger....

Since I chose Sousuke and already had Olias, I decided to pick up Margrid. But the point I'm making is take stock of your hero's and grab one that fills in the gaps, or fills a specific role.
