I hope Im the first to post about this NF boss for War. I have searched him and found nothing
Credit for actual build:
Well, not me but who knows who created it. I got this off the Warrior build directory, with Zero7511's build for soloing Rhea;s Crater. I have extended this to farming all of the Outcast race That is the Jade Sea, with different skills swapped for different situations.
Anyway, lets get on with the build.
Attributes
Air Magic 4
Strength 10 (+1)
Sword Mastery 9
Tactics 11 (+4)
Skill Bar
Sprint (could replace with Ripost but dont really need to)
Deadly ripost
Gladiators Defence {E}
Bonetti's Defence
Healing Signet (use only under bonettis)
Dolyak signet
"On your Knees"
Whirlwind or tenai's wind
Weapon : Sskai's sword for the furious bonus to adrenaline.(need for "On your Knees" and Bonetti's Defence)
Shield: any shield with -2 in stance.
Armor: any armor will work. I use Glads, with ascalon Helmet for Damg reduction.
Runes: Sup. Tacts, Sup Absorb, Sup Vigor, Minor strength
Procedure: Start in the Sunspear Sanctuary, go to the Command post. Turn right follow the sign saying Arkjok wards (i think thats the name, doing this from memory). Once outside follow the river to the lake you will see him directly across the lake. Proceed to kill him.
Now that we know where he is, I am actually not going to tell you how to kill him. Reasons, well, I think that you should be able to figure that out by yourself. I enjoy the problem (puzzle) solving aspects of this game and dont want to spoil that for you. I will provide some clues though to help you figure out how to kill him. Also, if you have Glad's Def. you have been through the Dragons Lair in Prophecies and hopefully are experienced in this game. So, me telling you how to use it is a waste of my time.
Problems: 1) Aggroing Onwan and his group without annoying all of the birds and plants around him.
2) Not getting killed by his group. A bunch of rock throwing Gorilla's.
3) Kill Onwan
Hints: 1) If you cant solve a problem by the Direct method, than Step back and look at the problem from Another Angle.
2) Use the Terrain to help you. If you do this correctly it becomes a 100% effective shield against all the Rocks that those Gorrila's throw at you.
Infact, this trick is nicely explained on the War. thread "The Art of Tanking" if you havn't read it, do so before trying this out. It will change the way you play this game.
3) Killing Onwan is simple, when you have solved the above two problems. He literally lasts seconds. I usually kill him by the end of the second Glad's Def. So lets go Rhino hunting (yes this works on the regular Rhino's)
Oh, I've thought of another problem. I havn't been able to get his shield yet. Which is obviously Max but provides a bonus against Poison. Ive killed him at least 10 times, last 5 times in a row without dieing. In fact I dont even get to half health. I'll post a pic when I get one.

Counter Blow is more reliable than whirlwind imo.
RebelHero
W/N (GB + Ripostes + sever = gash ) can farm most bosses in the early game. Just use the hench tactic, kill the mob then leave. Only bosses I havent killed so far are the Ritualist Bosses and half the mesmer bosses.

They both require enemies to attack.

I like "Tenai's wind" which is the same as whirlwind I think. Anyway, I have tried other skills like Shield Bash. That works well with bosses who use attack skills often, like Sskai. But I find that Tenais works well with Sskais sword. I usually go through the sequence of using Glads twice, before I have to use Bonetis for NRG. For me this is the only problem, but if u watch your NRG use u will be ok. Also, by this time I need to heal so I wait with Bonnetis on till i have enough NRG then I hit Heal Signet because some bosses can interrupt it, but not with bonettis on.

I have just read the other thread about the Hench tactic. IMO this is just cheating! It makes the game too easy. Why learn about builds, skills etc when all u need to do is get a full complement of henchies and go "Hack and Slash". No skill or finese required.
I have no doubt that this will be Nerfed so u should use it quick before u cant any longer.
Actually, just thought of a good place to start using the Hench trick. That war. boss Commander Wahli hes right down the bottom of Barbarous coast. He drops a vampiric sword. I went there last night and couldnt kill him because he is absolutely surrounded by enemies. But Im sure I can kill him now. Why not try other Bosses like that - Sunreach, Ironclaw come to mind. These are bosses who I wouldnt try solo because it just takes too long, or in the case of Sunreach are just impossible. Now, these are totally viable. This is another reason why I think it will be Nerf'd and prob soon.
Oh yes, I use the Grenths Balance build extensively as well. I just didnt use on this guy because the Glads Def took him out easily.

Half an hour later I have a nice shiny new Scythe, his group is way to big to do solo usually. Told u it makes the game too easy.
look at the pic.

You know that you can kill this boss with a Critical master assasin?
Kaitoa
Ok, so I think this Henchiews method is awesome!!! Being able to farm a wider variety of Bosses for their greens has made it much more fun and exciting which is what this game should be all about. But, I still think this is cheating. What I think Anet should do is, have henchies always take a percentage of the drops, just like we are used to. However, they should introduce a Green Wep Hunting Title. This increases the chance of a Green dropping for every level. There could be 7 levels, 1 for each Henchy in the group. So at the highest level the expert Green hunter will have what we have now. This will limit noobs getting greens thereby protecting the market, also it would give us Green hunters something to shoot for. Afterall, there is a chest runners Title as well as a Gold weps Title. Why not a Green weps Title? And of course if a Higher level hunter goes solo (ie no henchies) he would have an even greater chance of a green probably about 50%.
OK, so im not going to talk about this in this thread anymore.
