Iscribability isnt really a selling point for spellcaster weapons.
Theres only 6 inscriptions for spellcaster weapons and few of them are applicable to an illusion mesmer:
HCT 20 of Attribute (Which is what this staff has) - not useful since theres fast casting for primary, but useful to a mesmer secondary
+15 energy -1 energy regen - useful for emergency immediate energy
+energy^50 - really the only useful one
+energy V50 - not really useful
+energy while enchated - illusion mesmers dont enchant
+energy while hexed - not really useful
The Mindclouder is probably the only thing directly comparable to this staff. which would equal to Insightful head and fortitude wrapping with a Hale and Hearty inscription with the same skin, but not dyeable.
However thats a green staff and some people find them yucky :P
