Kodonur Crossroads - cell key bug?
Keira Darkwind
Just attempted this mission with heros/henches. We were doing fine, but on the last cell where you have to breakout the centaur, I could not open the cell. I'd killed the taskmaster and picked up a key, and my quest log confirmed I had a key, BUT, I did not have it in inventory despite having picked it up. My inventory was not full so that wasn't the problem. Because of this the garrison doors would not open so I could not complete the mission.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a known bug?

Perhaps it was a bug, but that's really strange. I don't think it happened that often to be a known bug.

I don't think the keys ever appear in your inventory.

The key never appears in your inventory, but that's beside the point. You don't need a key for the main garrison; you most likely missed unlocked a cell somewhere. The garrison doors don't blow until you've freed all of the other centaurs.

Reread what I said - I wasn't talking about a cell key opening the garrison - I was talking about one of the cells for the centaurs.
What happened was:
I got a key for a cell - clicked on the lock - assumed I'd freed the centaur. A few mins later while I was fighting to the next one, I realised I hadn't actually got another centaur in my party, I used the key for the next cell, then went and got another key from another Taskmaster. Then I went back to the cell that I'd previously been to. Clicked on the cell lock several times, but the cell would NOT open. Checked quest log, which said I had 1 key. Checked the U map, yes, this was the only one I had not unlocked (cell still had the bars across and I could see the NPC inside)
So I could not get into the garrison (although I did try) because all the centaurs were not freed, with no way of freeing the last centaur, (there were no more taskmasters on the map that I could find) I had to /resign.

Yeah, it's a bug, I did the missions a few times before realising
The point is there is a centaur boss in the cells too, free him last (press Alt to see if he's in a cell) A key magicly appears when you free the last normal centaur, allowing you to free the ranger boss centaur

The mission is fine, there is no bug, I have done it 3 time on 3 characters and it all went smooth, except the first time, which under heavy battle I didn't realize my hench group has slain a nearby taskmaster, which made me forgot to pick up the key. With one key short I was unable to proceed. So, I went walking tour around the map back to where I was and guess what? I little tiny key was on the ground, I unlocked the last prison and finished the mission.

I don't think it was that I forgot to pick up a key, since the quest log said I had the key...
So you can't release the boss centaur until you released all the others? At that point, I had been to all the other cells and released all of them except this one..
I think it just must have bugged out. One of my guildies said they had a similar problem
I will try the mission again tonight and see if it works ok this time.

im quite sure they do appear in your inventory because i remember i had a full inventory going into the mission and then it told me your inventory is full so i acutally had to drop items to be able to pick up the keys... although that was a week and a half ago and i could be wrong.

Well I completed the mission tonight finally
![]() Seems that the keys do not appear in inventory, however you must have space to be able to pick one up....odd. Guess it bugged out the first time. i didn't let out the boss last...he was the 3rd one I think. Thanks for your responses everyone. |
