I personally think the old campaigns get to be boring because ive done pretty much evderything with them. Anet should make a holiday for each campaign in which they invite players to come back to that map and they get better drops and benifets onb that campaign. sort of like a time to rember each map and see the diffrences in them and uniqeness in each.

That's why they make new chapters. You paid for $50 content, you got it. Need more? It's gonna cost.

An excellent suggestion!

Though which "holidays" would you reccomend? I would suggest somethign without a real life analog...somethign specific to the lore of each region and on a differnt day with a different flavor for each...

Already they have the dragon festival for Cantha...we need something else for the other two! And of course the winter holiday and Halloween are to be universal...

Perhaps Ascalon could have a slightly somber festival as a memorial for the Searing during which Ascalonain patriotic mementos are handed out to those who perform tasks of some sort...Tasks that ultimately lead to obscure places on the map that few ever visit...To find the remains of love ones, or old lives lived...

shrug...just spitballing here, I'm pulling these ideas out of thin air so they are probably not all that great...

Personally, I enjoy factions more than the other 2 at the moment.

Factions is quick. You level quick, ala 4k xp quests, the distances for running are safe in most cases. The missions are fairly quick, in some cases timed, and everyone wants masters, so they are done quickly. Many of the PVE mobs are just butter, and if you already have the 10k faction cap, then your set.

Ive been able to run 6 characters through factions, through the luxon/kurzick side by keeping the 10k/10k cap for both sides.

Got my brand new faction necro through factions in a matter of 3 casual days.

Prophs... Ive just played it so many times, and its not as quick... but with level 20 customizable heros... I think it should be even easier than factions.

Nightfall on the other hand is slow on ur 3rd+ character...

I personally actually am finding the old campaigns to be fun again with new characters. My elonian mesmer will be starting through Cantha later tonight

I have more fun in Proph with my Rit, Para, and Mes then I have ever experienced in Nightfall or Factions. I've beaten it so many times, but I always go back to it. Sure it may have thinned out, but I have noticed that the quality of players is much higher in Proph since the newer players are buying Factions or Nightfall.

LOL, for even more fun, go to Gates of Kryta or D'Alessio and use that.. :P MUHAHA UNDEAD! YOU LIKE TO BE MORE DEAD! EAT THIS! AND THIS! AND ONE OF THESE.... ooops... Sry I soloed the mission in under 10 mins... my bad...

Tyria is fun with Dervish because monsters are not made to counter them, so you do retarded amounts of damage and really, it is pretty tough to die.

i agree in a selfish kind of way, they should give out a couple of plat and a glint green weapon for killing her, but only because its the only bonus i need and theres never anyone there

Prophecies is always fun to go back to and completly pwn with your lvl 20 characters and heroes. I just loooove torturing those poor little mobs... <ahem> I mean, saving Tyria all over again is always something worth doing!

If i go back to Tyria, i always have the feeling most of it is empty space with low level monsters wich drop absolutely nothing of any value.

Nightfall quests bonanza ftw!

I'm in Tyria to level up my heroes and I like it .... much better drops then in Elona especially for my heroes even if I am not able to use inscriptions on the items I find.
Even if I have done the quests and missions so many time I still enjoy them and I know my way there.
Even Cantha with the factions farming is better than NF. I had all my tyrian characters to complete the game plus the new one I made in Cantha too.

I will only finish the game in Elona with my elonian ranger and not play NF anymore, not rewarding enough for the effort and time I have to waste to reach the end. :P

Ran my D to Ascalon yesterday evening and started the early missions.
Got to the second Northern mission, all M+B.

It was fun and I had not been there for some time and I noticed a couple of 'new' things along the way.

I was really amazed when I walked D'Alessio first with a PuG (scythe elite, with the mystics holy damage enchantment).
I hit one of those animated for 330, that was really WOW!

More missions with undead please

In Daggerfall there were different in-game holidays and seasons dedicated to certain Gods. Merchants and such would offer their wares at 10% discount on the days dedicated to Zenithar (god of commerce)

Could work for GW I dunno.

What are you referring to as a holiday? Are you talking about something similiar to the Dragon Festival or the Christmas/Halloween events? Unless they put those in the game and make it last for more than a weekend or some small time duration, I have a feeling you'll do the holiday thing and then just get bored again. You'll only be able to do that for so long.

Now if they actually added new content (new quests, bosses/drops, or new challenging things), things might be different. I still find myself going back to Tyria and Cantha ALL the time, wether it be finish up mapping, find a good place for a screen shot, or to just help people out that haven't gotten far in the game and need a helping hand.
