Has anyone attempted to do this quest before they beat the last mission?
If like me, everyone has taken this quest after defeating the great big bad guy, is it possible The Great Zehtuka is in the end-game area?

uhm, just some speculation but didnt WE do that, are WE the great zehtuka? is it ourselves we are looking for...?
or is there some other guy who did all that and they just came back for us to kill? RaccoonSalsa
Maybe you need to like use all the items at once somehow, like equipt the bow and put the horn and jug in the pack and then drink the jug.

The Great Zehtuka is obviously just a sham artist who is taking credit for others' success in order to build his reputation up with the locals. And it's working. Finding his hunter's gear scattered throught the wastelands prior to the Vortex would indicate he met his untimely demise, but the Hunting Abaddon quest isn't given until you are through the Vortex. This would imply he, at least, survived up until Nightfallen Jahai. I honestly believed he would've shown up later in game as a wandering soul, asking for our help in gathering his gear so that he could rest in peace. Alas, no such luck.

I found him, he's right outside the entrance to the elite mission.
But seriously, I don't think anet would make you find 3 randomly spawning items for 2500 exp and 200 gold. Sometimes I wonder about them, but they're not that silly. Maybe for a follow up quest, but not for this. I'm leaning toward this being a broken quest at this point.

You meet him eariler in the game, He is like the poster below you said - Apparently a Sham artist that has been telling wild tales about how great he is, and taking credit for your adventures (since of course in the storyline, you move on after all these things you did, and get no public reconition for them)

With the 11/21 update this quest has changed names to 'Good Demon Hunting' and the quest giver Churrazek is gone from Gates of Torment.
Checked out Nightfallen Jahai, I didn't find him.

Following LoKi Foxfire's directions: The Jug is in the Joko's Domain SE from the Bone Palace. I think it's close somewhat to a rez shrine - just use ALT to look for it.

That picture pretty much confirms that even the spawn location is RANDOM. I had mine a little NNW of where you found your Jug. This means that it will be difficult to locate the 3 items that spawn in random places.... I may have even found it in the Akali Plains. :O

Since the title changed to "Good Demon Hunting", surely the quest was reworked and achievable, right? WRONG! Well, at least so far in my attempts. I figured the title would be a significant clue (beside being a play on the movie title) so I went after the Mesmer boss on the East side near the large group of wandering and lost souls. Because, additionaly, there are 4 demons marked as "friendlies" up until you actually kill the Mesmer boss. I reasoned you would activate the next step by clicking on one of those guys without killing the boss, or something similar, however, I found no change in behaviors. Any other bright ideas?
