MM can only control 8 minions?

I was running thru nightfall with my MM build today and noticed that I could not create more than 8 minions. As soon as I tried to create a 9th minion, one of my other minions would die to be replaced by the new one. Did I miss something in the update from ANet? I have confirmed this behaviour in more than one run. Has anyone else had this problem?

As long as Death Magic 16 isn't met you can't create 10 minions.

You can create 2 minions with Death Magic 0
1 additional for each 2 ranks in Death Magic.

That means that you only had 12-13 in your death magic attribute.
Maybe changed your scar pattern?
