Map icons: Misson or outpost
Fluim
i was playing a quest at the explorable area near Nunda bay, and it says it has an oupost icon on the map. On my desktop I have a 100% map, on which it is a mission icon. I traveled there and checked if it was a mission or an outpost, but I could't find the NPC with the green icon above his head to start the mission. Anyone know how this works, can't you enter the mission before you finished the quest which leads there or something? Thanks in advance, Fluim

there are a few branching missions
- depending on your choice,
the outpost may not become a mission town (until you finish the game)

What do you mean by branching missions?
Im not at tihark orchard, another cooperative mission in vabbi. I just got the reward of the quest, and it's still an outpost icon. however, i can enter the mission. I still can't enter the mission at Nunda bay.

example of branching mission is when you choose Whispers or Magrid for your hero
if you chose Whispers, Pogahn Passage will not be a mission town
(until you finish game)

You are having two different issues.
Towns become missions as the story progresses. You may be in a town for a long time before you can actually enter it as a mission. The branching is usually dependant on which hero you choose to go with when given the choice. At the end of the game you can get the ones you didn't choose and then go back and do those missions.
Now the second issue is somewhat of a bug. If you get a primary quest reward that takes you to a town that becomes a mission town, the icon won't change to the mission symbol until you have signed out and back in. Or if you are in the same session, complete the mission. It can be quite frustrating if you finish your primary then go off to do something else. You open the map to find where you left off and see no incomplete missions and have no quests.

Nundu Bay does become a mission, but not for a long while (near the end of Vabbi). Just play through the game normally, you'll get back there eventually.
Note that it's also a split path mission- you get to choose between doing Nundu Bay and Jennur's Horde (though you can go back and do both).

Now I'm really conused. I DID choose the masters of whipsers, and Progahn passage DOES have the mission icon. But I can't enter the mision because i need the greedy Hero for that.
the outpost icon at Tihark Orchard did change to a mission icon indeed after i logged off and logged on again.
Thanks for the info, Fluim
