[[Geomancer Builds or Any Other Good Ele Builds]]

This is my first Elementalist and I have just been using some random, thrown-together fire build for n00b island in Elona. But I want something better and stable; something I can use through out the whole game.
I was looking at the Earth Spiker build on Wiki, but I am not quite sure about it. Everything kinda has to be in close range in order to attack it. I wanted to do an earth related build. If anyone can post some Earth builds or other builds, that would be nice. Thank you in advance.

Well I'm tinkering around with using Obsidian Flame and Stone daggers in a geomancer build. The only problem I'm coming up with is how to mitigate the exhaustion from Obsidian Flame. OF does an obscene amount of armor ignoring damage and it's cheap to cast with a pretty low cool down. Stone daggers doesn't have the exhaustion problem and as a spammable goes it's hard to beat. The individual daggers do less than a single flare but hitting together at max earth damage the damage is hella nasty. I've given thought to second wind as an elite to mitigate the exhaustion. I'm not done with the build yet but when I do finish it I'll likely give it a post here for comments and refinement.
If the close range of the earth spiker bothers you I would say to look into the armor buffs available in the earth magic line and ward against melee makes for good close range battles. I'm not familiar with the build you are speaking about however I'm sure it can be tweaked to include either ward or an armor buff or two.

a common combo for geomancers is using kinetic armor and then spamming stone daggers, this keeps ur defence up the entire fight. a ward or 2 is always good for tough situations since it can protect the squishy casters. and earthquake, aftershock, and obsidian flame are really good spikes.
the geomancer is by far my favorite elementalist build but keep in mind that even though obsidian flame is spammable it doesn't mean u should spam it, the exhaustion will kill u.
also, second wind doesnt eliminate exhaustion. it gives you energy, but it wont go past the lowered cap.

glyph of energy mitigates some of the exhaustion.
Also, sandstorm is pretty good in the earthline.

Thanks so far!

When it comes to ele builds, I don't like to share. I'm just competitive in that sense. However, since obisden's flame and stone daggers were mentioned I can say a few things.
The Geomancer is Godly. Nukers are good for starters, but only the noobs won't see how you are practically Captain Planet with this Earth Master. I mostly use stone daggers on anyone. Obisden flame is when you are somewhat desperate especially against up and close melee attackers that might have a chance.
Geomancers FTW. I heard Air and Water is great too, but I'm not too keen on that build.

I started a couple of threads on my farming build; you can start from the farming stickies.
But Ether Renewal is the key skill, and I think that's Prophecies-only.

As posted in a previous thread recently
My all-round whole game optimized earth ele build, highly recommended by me :-)
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Sandstorm
Eruption
Churning Earth
Dragon's Stomp/Earthquake
Ward against Melee/Elements/Cap signet
Aura of Restoration/Monk healie
Earth Attunement
You've got energy management, mass AoE damage, self healing, and party protection all in one build. I use this build pretty much everywhere in the game.
Alternatives -
* Unsteady Ground in place of Sandstorm, but since capping SS I find it FAR FAR superior (and I love it :-P)
* Ward against melee if you expect close combat, elements for spell casters
* Otherwise, cap signet if you are expecting an elite cap
* Use secondary monk and heal party/healing breeze for alternative heals
You should attune/glyph first, then pretty much start a battle with Sandstorm closely followed by Dragon's Stomp to keep them in the storm... SS lasts 10 seconds, which is joy, so you get the damage keeping them in there then more damage when they get up to attack. Energy is never a problem assuming you use the glyph whenever you can, and there is only one exhaustion skill which wont be any problem. You do some serious damage too with this build btw!
It'll work everywhere I believe :-)
Have fun!

Heya,
I dunno what others think about this build but it seems to work for me anyways...
Aura of restoration, obsidian flame, shockwave, stoning, dragon stomp, churning earth
those are my base ones that i always tend to have. Dragon stomp followed by obsidin flame is a nasty combo but does exhuast you ALOT so should only be used in emergancies. Becuase ive got such a high energy rating though exhuastion doesnt seem to be a problem. it also means that i get 400% base energy cost back as health from aura! shockwave is excellent as it has such a large damage area. stoning makes short work of "squishy" players and churning earth is just generally nasty anyway. I tend to use churn if people get too close aswell as they have to move or take about 150 damage (along with shockwave and maybe obsidian if they still dont move your talking about 370 damage!...if you can cast it all in time )
The last two i tend to change depending on the situation. It tends to be a combo of res signet, life syphon, soul feast and armor earth but it all depends on what im doing (PvE or PvP, etc).

Heres mine:
Stoneflesh Guardian:
Earth: 16
Estorage: 13
Obsidian Flame
Unsteady Ground
Aftershock
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Stoneflesh Aura
Armor of Earth
Glyph of Restoration
Rez
The concept is simple, you stack both of your amors and see nothing but zeros when people start attacking you. When the melees close in on you monk, Unsteady Ground to protect their target and move in for an Aftershock. Against grouped enemies this will pretty much wipe everything. Obsidian flame finishes off stragglers and with such a big E pool and low to mid cost spells, your glyph should be good enough. If you run into energy problems or have a competent monk, switch out Glyph of Restoration for Earth Attunement and you may even swap armor of earth or stoneflesh for a ward.

Obsidian flame can be very useful in high level areas, I always try to couple it with glyph of energy.
Try Arcane Echo, Sandstorm and Earthquake for high damage, the current AI means AoE spells work fairly well again.
Armor of earth + stoneflesh aura (thinks thats the name, the one that reduces damae by 33) is very good for tanking, slightly easier to use than kinetic armor I feel.
A ward of some sort is always useful.
Hope I helped, just trying to think off top of my head.

Geomancy is useful for solo farming but pretty terrible for group play. It's better as a minor element on a fire guy on a full team.
In PvP earth is really only used for Wards, and sometimes as a component in a 321spike build.
Peace,

Wow. Thanks, guys! I'll give these a try.
