Here's something you don't see every day: Do you have a question for the ArenaNet founders? We're going to be running a weekly series of Q&As with the Founders of ArenaNet, and we'd like to ask you to participate! Please share with us your best question (yep, just one) about Guild Wars in general, or about Nightfall specifically. (One question per player, please. ) We will select the best questions and pose them to Mike O'Brien, Jeff Strain, and Patrick Wyatt, and then share their answers in the future Q&As.
Questions are due by this Wednesday (15 November) at Noon Pacific! I anticipate we'll have the first of the Q&As before the end of the month, and we will likely run one per week for 3 or 4 weeks, total.

SWEEEEEEEEEET! Gaile you ROCK! Umm here's my question.. If Nightfall is wrapping everything up with Proph and Factions... What about chapter 4? Any ideas on how that is going to work with our chars going to Chap 4? I really dun wanna remake all my beautiful chars.

What might possibly be put in place towards the rpg/immersion aspect? By this I mean anything like: deeper lore(someone suggested a library or books), background on key npc's, 'life skills',etc. Anything that makes the world a little more involved.

Just saw the Making of Nightfall DvD (it was awesome). And I had one question:
When you guys are playing the game together, what do you do for fun?

Do you chaps have your own "Dev Guild(s)" and do you have some time where you all get together and do a "guild event"?

Got a few questions:
- Will Anet make Guild wars Chapter 4, 5, 6, 7... 100??? I just want a straight answer.
- When will the quests be thrilling and fun? I dont want an arrow on the minimap and run around talking to people with VERY LONG NERDY WORDS and killing stuff, defending, running etc... IMHO Quests on Guildwars and WoW are boring.
- Are you guys making a thought about making Guild wars on the PS3? I'm not saying you should but are you planning to or discussed about it?
- Will we be able to find 2 Millinion players on explorable areas running around? Personally I dont like how you can have only up to 8 people on Explorable Areas... You guys should have like 100 people on A explorable area but making parties at missions...

First have to thanks the Anet developers and Gaile for giving us the chance to do this.
I got somewhat a somewhat big question:
As we know that the GW campaigns are released every 6 months, and new contents are also added to the previous campaigns (such as sorrow furnace update, hero system update, etc), clearly the amount of work load will add up, and therefore my assumed outcome would be:
A. Longer development and release cycle for each new campaign.
B. Less unique content for each release.
C. Debugging became increasingly difficult and complex over time.
etc....
How would Anet deal with these kinds of problems? Or if there won't be a problem, what's the secret?

What do you guys have against manual farming that cannot be botted?
Are you guys trying to find a way to add a stylist NPC (who would offer new hair styles to change to) or is it useless to keep asking?
For future expansions will we ever have the engine expanded to allow jumping, flying enemies and swimming?
Are chapters going to continue to focus on one game type more then the other? (factions=pvp nightfall=pve)
When will the new classes stop being made? Will classes such as the Dervish and Paragon ever get content from older chapters?

Is Prince Rurik a WaMo? (That's actually not a sreious question. It's my gentle tease at Rurik's noobish antics, which every player who has ever monked the early Tyrian missions is all too familiar with.)
For a serious question, on Istan Kihm [Healer Henchman] uses healing skills. On the mainland, she switches to using prot skills, which was a rather nasty surprise when my survivor ele had her Dunkoro set up as prot and was relying on Kihm for (non-existant) healing. I've notified QA, but I'd like to know if she will either be re-labeled as prot on the mainland or re-skilled to match her name.

I'm a bit embarrassed asking this, but.....
Any thought to adding a romance angle with NPCs/Heroes? This was pretty popular in games like Baldur's gate and adds a bit in terms of immersion. Nothing like the blind adoration of a computer generated pixelated character. And no, I'm not some freaky loner living in my mom's basement.

Are the newest classes and new skills always going to be the more powerful than the older ones, so people will be forced to buy the newest chapter or else be flattened by the opposition in PvP and shunned by groups in PvE?

Is it possible to move Guild Wars in the direction of innovation AND keep established player information, progress and achievements intact, or will one eventually have to make way for the other? In other words, will you ever use a cut-off point, effectively starting afresh with Guild Wars 2 (or an entirely new project), or will you continue with current player 'progress' at the cost of game innovation, or do you feel you can achieve both?

Do the level designers ever feel dissapointed that their beautifully rendered areas are not visited very often? And if this is viewed as an issue, will anything be done to make players return to older zones?
I love so many areas in the game, but there often isn't much reason to visit them!

If you guys can’t afford it than ask for some volunteers! I am certain that there are tons of people dieing to test our new content. Just look how much people play it here! People completed Night Fall in a couple of days!

Why is Guild Wars so slow to see updates?
There are obviously a lot of things lacking from Guild Wars. The ability to see you party members energy, buffs, no timers on buffs, spamming WTS/WTB/LFG for endless hours. The only real update I have seen in the year I have been controls with henchmen. Other than that all I see if nerf nerf nerf nerf. Improved AI, No more running, changing stats on weapons, Random Chests, Reducing HA to 6 players.
Third most important question!

Is there any intention to implement a new, more efficient armour rune/insignia swap system such that it will become possible to effectively PVP with a PVE character, without requiring large numbers of armour swaps in order to deal with the runes of vitae/attunement.
Despite my general dislike of PVE (for various reasons, although Nightfall is a great improvement), I have become somewhat attached to PVPing with my PVE monk, if only because I can wear pink armor. I've been thinking about bringing her back up to PVP level, but to get the level of versatility required I think I am going to end up with 12 head pieces, 4 chest, 4 hands and 4 leg pieces.
I found it extremely frustrating when I went out and won some high end auctions for equipment for this character, specifically after hearing (reading? :P) Gaile say that she felt that PVE chars should have something more over PVP than sparkly swords (not exact quote, it is from TGH). To go out and go to the time/expense to get my monk up to this required versatility and then for changes to be made months later making that work unecessary a second time would probably leave me feeling extremely dubious about your willingness to comunicate.
As an example of such an efficient system can be found at the following link in this forums suggestions area, it may not be the best but it generally sumarises the ideas that I think are necessary.

Any chance of the Looking for group menu coming in sometimes this year? As an example of this i refer over to city of heros and there looking for group menu, so finding groups of people with the same mission as you would be easy to hook up with, now with the heros system it seems likes a little harder to find real groups to hook up with.

Guild War can be whatever players want it to be, if the player desire fly so much, lets have it, we just make up some stories so it wont fit too badly with the story.

well, i hope this will happen but, since prohpecies and nightfall are so popular for one reason becuase u can go anywhere when u wanted and didnt HAVE to follow the missions as much as factions, will the next chapters be THAT open ended or will u ever (sadly) go back to the more linear gaming?

1) How was the original concept for Guild Wars dreamed up? Was it hastily scrawled on a napkin over lunch or was there a lot of planning and forethought?
2) How many chapters are actually projected for Guild Wars. Obviously if they continue to sell there will be more and more but what is the original projection?
