Crafter and Collector weapons...

I have all the mods i want and i'm now looking for a Scythe to put them on... Looks and colour aren't uber important to me so i decieded to go for the cheap option.

But, i was informed by a friend that collector weapons can't be salvaged so my mods will be permantly stuck on the Scythe. Is that true? He then suggested that i get a Scythe from a weapon crafter. As he seems to believe i'll be able to salvage my mods at a later date from a crafted weapon. Is that true?

Basically all i want to know is can i salvage my mods back from collector or crafted weapons...?

Yes from crafted. Not sure about collectors. Previously you couldn't. I do not know if they changed that. If you like, I have several assorted skins available that I will let you purchase for less than the cost of crafting one.

That would be awesome! Is there anyway i could have a look at these Scythes your selling?

i could get the salvage popup on my collector bows, didnt want to risk trashing them to try and salvage a mod off it tho...
