Having trouble running
quadrophenic_9
I'm not a runner, I only run to get to solo farming areas, and I only solo farm a few places. One of the places I recently learned to solo was the ice imp cave in mineral springs and I loved it. Got three swords though it took me while. I was way excited. Anyways, I found that after they release nightfall I could no longer make the run. I get casters following me for miles and I can't shake them no longer how often I sprint or how long my sprint lasts. Anyone else had this problem or found a way around it? I want to do my run but I can't anymore.

just so you know.. its a series of bugs in my opinion.
first the bug that actually makes them follow you so far.
then the bug that gives them SUPER speed.
then the bug that gives them the ability to cast while running.
all of these are bugs from the new ai "Update" and will be fixed by anet as soon as they figure out how to turn their computers on.

Hmmmm there used to be an update 'Monsters stop chasing after a while', when I just bought Guild Wars (about a year ago)...
They upgraded it back then, so i guess it's not too much of a problem to do it again.
*gets flashback of being chased by Devourers and Hulking Stone Elementals for 3 minutes long*

I don't think Naruto is talking about those in particular.
When running from LA to Ascalon Settlement, passing the skales, they too have aqcuired insane running abilities which they didn't have before.

I remember having a hell of a time (LAME JOKE) in Hell's Precipice shaking the aggro from Titans.
But the new AI just makes monsters look retarded. They stand in Met Shower sometimes now, but they'll run around and degen to death too.

something that's just started recently.
I do a couple of Etten runs a week, hoping to snag a Superior Vigor once in
a while. Leaving out of Beetletun, I've noticed that, about one out of five
times, one of the Mergoyles will start chasing me. If I keep running, it will chase
me all the way through the explorable area to the North Kryta Provence exit.
If I use sprint, it wil match my speed step for step, even though it doesn't have
any running skills. It "does" have to stop to recast Spirite Shackles on me,
but then it puts on an astounding burst of speed that allows it to catch up
with me, even if I was sprinting when it stopped to cast it. It's not something
that I can't deal with.
Similar .... anomalies? have been occuring all over the game. I think the
question being asked is whether these things are bugs or something thrown
into the game to make it a little more challenging.
