One of my biggest gripes with my Dervish is of course a lack of feeling like I am really helping anyone. I've always been one of the primary melees in any game, but I tend to do it because I tend to do it quite well, as well as guarding others by removing whatever is attacking them. Did this as a Ranger in EQ, assuring I could snare and hack down anyone in PvP, as a Merc in DaoC to quickly pull enemies off or hack down in RvR, a Rogue in WoW for blinds, stuns, evasion, etc., and as a Dervish it just seems a very fun class. Now I have a Paragon going as well, but it got me thinking looking back over my set up as a Dervish, of wanting new types of enchantments.
Any class that offers nothing specifically to the group will be shunned, though probably used dramatically by people who are not in it for support. What I would like to see are All Adjacent Ally type skills, where at the start it can attempt to remove a hex, or remove a condition, from your adjacent allies, and when the enchantment is removed, it can do this again, or give minor buffs, heals, energy, or regeneration to them as well. I would as well like to see a few of these done as say remove a bleeding condition to start, and give them a shout say for attack speed. This would function in line with the Paragon echoes as well, which would create more cross-class synergy, and be more welcome into group builds.
Would as well give a better reason to wholly purge all enchantments, with skills such as mystic sandstorm, just to bring it into further use, since I hate skills and builds being unused.
