Infantryman Hareh

In the northwestern corner of The Sulfurous Wastes there is an NPC named Infantryman Hareh. You can see him from the little loop in the absolute corner that is full of margonites and you can see that he has a quest exclamation point over his head but there is a chasm in the way and you can't reach him from there.

If you look on the map it looks like there is a bridge connecting the large rock outcropping just above and to the left of the text saying "The Sulfurous Wastes" to the rock outcropping that the NPC in question is standing on... but my question is this:

Has anyone gotten to him? Picked up his quest? When you're standing there there is a pillar directly in front of the apparent bridge that appears on the map, but there is no bridge. There isn't even a handy invisible bridge you can exploit to get to him. Anyone had any luck? Is he 'not ready for access' and that's why the bridge doesn't exist or is it just some kind of map bug no one's gotten around to fixing yet?

Maybe he lets you into the still unfinished elite area.
When it is done, the bridge will be there.

You can make the Pillar fall by charging up the Wurms adrenaline skill (#2) and using it just beneath it. That way you can do the Infantryman's 2 quests, just beware that the first quest is bugged and should only be done alone (or once for each of the human member of the team) as it includes finding a tome for him and bringing it to him... the other people in your party won't get the quest update even if you bring the tome so each real person has to do that part themselves...
