I want to upgrade my computer this christmas, I just need to know some opinions on what think would give the best performance increase. I'm mostly looking for gaming improvements, but an overall speed increase would be nice. My specs: athlon 64 3400+ 2.4ghz socket 939
x800xl 256mb
1 gb ddr2
400W. trusted (FSP group) PSU
200 gb 7200 rpm HD
I'm not particularly interested in a graphics improvement, as it works fine in all games. Also, I dont feel like upgrading the PSU again. My budget is about 200. Any suggestions?
Im not exactly sure how to check what ram is compatible with my comp, but im thinking 2 gb would be nice. Or, possibly a dual core processor. Thanks in advance.
