Thanksgiving - Limited Countries celebrate it (Only America really? Why would other countries care about our first settlers and the natives here?)
Christmas - Isnt called Christmas, because "Christmas" is a Christain holiday, and thats supporting one religion over another. They do an event for "Wintersday" though. It falls near New years though and not christmas day. (Many non-religious types obviously celebrate christmas, but its mostly refered to as the "Winter Holidays" so it doesn't offend some random person)

People who get offended over stuff like "Christmas" need to pull the stick out of their rear and get their priorities straight.
Anyhow, I too am looking forward to their Christmas festivites.
I hope there's some cool items to get in some events.Quote:

People don't celebrate Halloween in a lot of countries either, but the American popular culture is spreading and in the future Halloween will be celebrated in more and more countries.
However, thanksgiving, no. Only Americans celebrate it, because it only affects people who live in Northern America. There is no real reason to celebrate Halloween, but there is a reason why people celebrate Thanksgiving.

And on the Halloween thing, I think you'll find that its a British celebration, not American. I could give the history, which is quite interesting, but I wont. Americans didnt even invent the "trick or treat" bit. Sorry lol.

a bit harsh I know, but it's the truth, people need to learn to adapt to their surroundings. Same wthing with learning English. It's an English speaking country... learn the language if you want to be a part of it. meh
I'm getting very sick of all these religious debates that are showing up more and more on game forums. Basically a rough idea on how this is gonna go is the Christians will say the country was founded on Christianity and to deal with it, the agnostics are gonna say that it is politically incorrect to say Merry Christmas because not everybody is Christian, and from there the agnostics will probably start attacking Christian ideas and whatnot. I just wish that we could just respect each other's stances on religion and just get back to the game.
Going back to the event, I really hope they do the snowball fights and the Dwayna/Grenth dialogue. I wish I had seen that last year. Also, did they decorate LA for Wintersday last year?

To simply assume people who do not celebrate Christmas are offended buy the idea is simply to generalized a statement, which I think, if you were to really delve a little deeper, you would find the reverse is true anyway.
