Which one do you prefer? Inscribed items or non-inscribed items?

Just wondering, which one do you prefer, inscribed items or non-inscribed items, provided everything else's equal? Personally, I prefer non-inscribed items, i.e. the 15>50 mod (or whatever mod) is built-in. What about you?

Would you pay more for a non-inscribed version?

You would have to pay more for a non-inscribed weapon because they are harder to come by. I guess that is also why I like non-inscribed weapons.

Personally I like the ioprions provided by inscriptions better.. for me at least.. weapon choice is all about how much I like the look and the overall functionality. I would much prefer to find a weapon I like, with the appropriate damage/req and add the inscription of my choice, rather than spend loads of money on one the looked and did the same things, but was uninscribed and hrder to come by.

I could care less about rarity or popularity.. It's all about how satisfied I am with what my characters lug around with them. Other peoples' opinions are all but irrelevant in these matters

Of course my favorite current weapon is the smiting rod my monk carries.. It happens to be uninscribed and only purple, but hey it's max damage and looks badass.. hehe

EDIT: \/\/\/ I don't know about newer players either.. I'd guess the people that only started with NF won;'t know much better. Personally, I've been playing for almost two years now and find the new system a nice improvement over the old one.

The reason why I like non-inscribed items is because they're the original. But I guess newer players probably don't care about that as much.

Inscribed, I can mod them latter or get there mods.

I still use non-inscribed but looking to replace them with inscribed as I come across them.

Inscribed are better IMO. Having an option to change stats is always better then fixed stats. It's no brainer.

1. Inscribed, but only if it allows me a combination NOT possible with a non-inscribed weapon.

2. For all others, non-inscribed are definitely better due to their rarity, IMO.

For me, functionality > rarity.

Inscribed items are far better, in my opinion, than a non-inscribed one. I really dont care for such superficial value such as rarity, especially in a video game. Functionality over rarity!

Function over form indeed.

Inscribed would be a no-brainer for me, except for the fact that max weapons that are inscribable seem never to drop.

If I'm using a weapon that I farm with a ton I want it to look good, otherwise, decent is good enough for me.

non-inscribed of course. IF I want a good weapon I'll get a collector's weapon/green. If I want a rare weapon I want somethign I can be proud of. Like a 15^50 rare skinned weapon. Not with some crazy mod but the 15^50 on it. It just means something and has it's rarity.

Sure, functionality > rarity

But don't complain,

funcionality: greens/collectors, they can have 15^50 as well as perfect other mods.

Rarity: rare mods, nice skin, gold, something that catches the eye. That's where the gold weapons come on, and the perfect mods.

It's pretty amusing seeing how some people look down on anything that's not a perfect rare gold non-inscribed item.

Inscribed is definately better than non-inscribed for me. The ability to change the inherant mod versus an unchangeable weapon? It's a no brainer.

Easy choice - inscribed items are common, perfect noninscribed are rare so not hard to guess which are worth more. Why would anyone want to change an inherent mod if its already perfect +15^50?
But for own use ill stick with inscribed ones as i'm just cheap, the rarities are good for selling

I wouldn't pay more for either. I will not pay extra for gold either. If I find them then that's great and I use them, otherwise I purchase crafter/collector weapons or use drops.

However, if the choice is between exactly what I want non-inscribed vs inscribed then I would take the non-inscribed. If the weapon is not exactly what I want then inscribed as I can make it exactly what I want.

Rarity can go RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO itself up the ass for all I care. I rather have the item I seek and not pay huge amount of money for it.

It really depends for me on the inscriptions on the item, focus wise i don't care, but shield wise i do
