Evil mime wtf....

i checkes on wiki where i can cap my mesmer elite.said 2 locations : evil mime in zehlon reach and soem others.of course opted for mime.

i gon in zenhlo nreach and talked to the guy giving the quest : first surprise he no wanted gave it to me.

ok so i called a level 9 mate who had the quest activated and gone with him.
this time the mime was there.so i killed him in few sec.but EEEK when activate capture signet : *there is no target in range* wtf....

is it a bug? or wtf wiki put a monster who have it but on which u cant cap in locations for capture.....waht would be rly dumb of their part.

any ideas?

just letting you know.. but anyways if hes not there then keep trying might be a certain boss that only spawns a certain time.

well cept point my mistakes you also pointed you have no ***** idea of what you talkin about and than you posted probably only for gain a post.

I know the boss you mean. Are you sure you haven't done the quest yet? because I know for a fact that the boss only comes when the quest is activated.

I think he said the problem is that after he kills the mime, it won't let him cap the skill.

As far as I know you can't cap any elites on the beginner island. Although I haven't really looked, so maybe you can. However, don't always rely on wiki, as all the info in it is generally added by the players that use it. So sometimes you might find someone who thought it would be fun to add something to wiki that isn't really true. I'm sure most the info is double checked, but sometimes things can slip by.

You can cap elites on Istan. There's a water elite located in Issnur Isles, which I have succesfully capped. However, some bosses relating to quests and missions cannot have their elites captured. For example, the general in Moddock Crevice is a monk boss with Zealous Benediction (I think), but you cannot cap from him*.

In this case, I would suspect that they have made it so that you cannot cap from this boss to prevent new players getting ahead (pointless, but occasionally they do it).

*Although this was on wiki, I haven't tested myself, and wiki seems to be the source of the mystery in this case.

Only characters created on Elona can take quests on noob island. The mime is part of a quest, so you need to team up with someone who is planning to do the quest.

well the point is not if he's there or not...but why cant cap on him.
i know he only spawn during the quest who can only be activated by a elonian caracter.so i did.the problem is when i killed him i couldent cap his elite cause signet was saying no target....and wiki said i CAN cap on him....so if they say i can cap on him and signet refuse to once he dead thats what i want know lol.

but i guess majere and hagard are rite.some elite on istan can be caped and some not guess my bad luck want then the elite mime cant be

I think you need to have achieved a certain level as an Elonian character before you can start capping elites...

Not sure about it though.
