Anyone else find this inscription to be one of the worst ideas ever?
To be fair, I gave it a chance.... I had 5 of these stashed on one of my mule's. Then I went out chest running in Vabbi, and acquired myself a handsome supply of gemstone/ruby weapons.... afraid to salvage the usable parts off those weapons, I installed the measure-for-measure inscription on top of them, then salvaged for materials, hoping to get.. a ruby perhaps? Some gemstones?
Final tally: 100+ iron ingots, 80+ piles of glittering dust.
So, what is the point of these things? I thought they gave you at least a decent chance to salvage rare materials, if not a good chance.
Just seems like a total waste of an inscription to me. I applaud A-net in their effort, just think it was off the mark on this one.

Measure for Measure.... awful.

its the exact same as "highly salvagable"... you get more materials, i dont know if it affects the odds of getting rare materials but anyways you can't expect to get rubies so easily, they are rare

Well my expactations arise from the thread where this inscription was introduced/discussed by Gaile (sorry no link). People were wondering what the point of it was and someone pointed out that you could attach it to weapons in an attempt to get (specific) rare materials from them. Maybe I read into her response too much but she seemed to imply that was possible or maybe even the whole intention behind it. <shrug> Just thought I'd share my experiences with them and see if anyone else was dissapointed or not.

To be honest this isn't the place for this type of thread. There is no need for another inscription/insignia discussion thread.
