When you buffed Thumpers to more powerfull than they have ever been with Rampage as One.
Im not saying its overpowered, im just tired of the R/W's seemingly endless reign :/.
What was the point of the TF nerf

Umm, can you please rephrase your question?

Do you see Rampage as One being used on IWAY warriors? Dont think so.
Zuzubee
They nerfed tigers fury and irresistible blow almost certainly to reduce the number of R/W. Then comes RAO. So the question is, whats it all about.

I agree that, as the friendly gentleman with the apple on his head stated, the nerf was aimed more at toning down W/R (IWAY) than R/W (thumpers).

Well, RaO *does* cost 25 energy, which i cant see an IWAY warrior keeping up constantly, which could be Anet's mindset behind this. I didnt mean to say that the TF was purely to nerf IWAY warriors, but it was damn sure a nice side effect . TF also did not require a pet, which is something to remember.
The Iblow nerf was DEFINITELY for thumpers though, and reduced their effectiveness to the point of not being used. Maybe RaO was Anet's fumbled attempt to get them back into the metagame (as the recent expertise nerf showed that Anet have a soft spot for thumpers, when they didnt limit expertise's effect on attack skills)

if your saying they nerfed TF then your wrong. Try running this build for an example.
Enraged Lunge {E}, hammer bash, crushing blow, tigers fury, predatory bond, call of haste, comfort animal, charm.
If you really insist on having a rez with you drop pred. bond. Once you use tigers fury you'll have five recharging beast mastery skills. thats +24dmg per recharging BM skill. (if your running 16beast) that goes well over the +80dmg cap on enraged lunge.
As for Rampage, One of my new favorite thumper elites

RAO works only when you have an animal and it is alive, so you have to take 2 other skills in order to use it (this is half you skill bar).
It also cost 25 so you are very limited in energy.
Due to the energy limit, you have to compromize beastmastery or hammer.
Due to the packed skill bar, you cannot have self heal.
Also you're open to e-attacks which will prohibit you from using RAO.
If your pet is attacked, you pay dearly in healing/reviving it, which again limits your use of RAO.
But using RAO build is currently my favorit.
I have tons of fun with it. It can create massive pressure, masive spike damage and tons of interrupts.
I think that it's combined ability for damage, spike & interrupt make it one of the most potent builds there is.

Tf was nerfed, its speed bonus was reduced so I am not wrong.
R/W uses 9 Expertise which makes RAO cost 16e not 25e and with IB on 6s cooldown theres really not that much to spend energy on inbetween durations.

I must agree with zuzubee. Why nerf tiger fury if nightfall allows RaO ???

Hope you find some use of your R/W inbetween IB, like one more hammer skill that cost ardrn + one that cost 5 energy + one more skill for your pet that cost 5-10 energy. Then from time to time you have to heal your pet or revive it - another 10 energy.
Now youre tight on energy.
And yes, 8-9 Expertise looks optimum to me to for this char.
But 9 Expertise + 12 hammer => you cannot max beast.

I run this with a bow actually, more for sending in the pet to tank for my team in shrines, and annoying the heck out of kurz's who kill the pet 25x for no points while it deals hella damage to them.
25 = 13 with 12 expertise, with 14 BM i get +32 (x2 from brutal) and +25 ish from pred pounce. I heal myself with predatory bond, and keep pet alive with pred pounce + call of protection (-19 dmg). As a bonus I can take read the winds for myself a little damage buff. It's been working great in RA, and yea I love this elite. You tried the other one Strike as One? With Focused Shot and Pred Pounce both doing 50-70 ish dmg to opponent...thats 100-150 dmg per attack really (weak vs runners which is why i like rampage better)
Edit; best thing about any pet build is amplified here (running away and kiting while pet deals damage with shouts), and the worst thing..pet being kitted into base defense!
