Weapon: Zealous Sword of Fortitude
Shield: Max, req9...with +30 Health (Exalted Aegis is perfect) Stance mods go nicely with the build too, as you are just about always in a stance.
Armor: Max (80+20vs physical, but 90+10vs physical works better) You will need a helm of swordsmanship. (A helm that already has "Swordsmanship +1" attached to it without the use of a rune)
Use:
Right before you aggro something, use Shiled Stance, then find a good spot to stay still and tank and use Dolyak Signet, Glad's Defense, Deadly Riposte, Riposte, and just spam those 5 over and over again. And when you have the change you will want to use Sever Artery to give a little degen to the enemy. Heal with Healing Signet whenever needed, but you will not be taking too much damage. Just be careful around mesmers.
