Isn't it not supposed to do damage if you wait out the whole 10 seconds like the other item spells that cause damage? I usually drop mine before the 10 seconds and it does do damage. The only glitch with this skill is that you can give it to other players.. It gets kinda annoying when you are targeting someone else in your party and cast the spell.
well looks like they fixed that part... It wasn't working before. The other thing however is that it will have a double animation, if you drop it before the 10 second duration, and once again after the 10 second duration.

you can cast Destructive was Glaive on spirits too! o.O
cast it on Spirit of Destruction at 20 seconds (right when Destruction recharges)
and you'll do Destruction's damage and Destructive was Glaive ! (ooh)
however Destructive was Glaive on the spirit only does 66 dmg on the 60 AL dummy for some unknown reason instead of 106 dmg at 16 channeling so the total dmg would be 150 + 66 = 216
i casted it also on a spirit of fury
then i casted it on random people in the isle of nameless

LOL, just gave one of my Bone Minions Glaive, and guess what? The Ashes will get stucked to the tail of the Minion and will be dropped after 10 seconds.
Also gave it to Prince Rurik during Nolani... he drops it immediately and then holds his fiery dragon sword like a hammer, looks awesome xD.
Just had a crazy idea: You sure know those infamous GvG Minion Bombers, right? Take one or two Rits and cast Glaive on the Minion about to be wiped...
You can even cast it on your GuildLord or the Ghostly...
Craziest thing I've seen so far.

Well, item effects don't take effect if you wait out the whole time to drop them. For instance Generous was Tsungrai will not gimme that nice heal at the end if i wait out the whole time.
You can give ti to other people? wow. just... wow. thats stupid. it could have nice effects though. can you control if they drop it or not? can they control if they drop it or not? then it could have very special benfits on dervishes, for example. I always thought about dervishes when i saw this skill.

Lol, My guild was testing a DwG spike the other day..at first people would be targeting teammates..causing them to drop their own ashes..it was weird.

You can't control the drop of the item if you give it to another target. On a positive note, the item still activates if the target dies, or the item is recasted onto the target before 10 seconds pass.

Bah, i made a comment in bug post about this issue after launch...
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...054394&page=21
I also reported it to Support.... but its now almost a month and still not fixed. This bothers me, because they keep fixing smaller quests, yet don't fix a major bug that can cause players grief?
The same with Death Pact Signet... if you use it in Alliance Battles and you die because of the signets effect, the timed resurrection is disabled and your death is permanent unless someone else resurrects you. I reported this back in the preview and still its messed up!
We ritualists just dont get any love

snap. Monks get the good end when it came to that bug to their elite res skill, and the rits get the other end :P
