I was trying to mess around, and I made a riposte and deadly riposte 55 monk. Surprisingly enough, the minos ran away 1 by one. It's not AoE attacks that do this, hence the run from SoJ?

They don't run away because you do damage. They run away because they crowd.

Not really an aoe nerf (thats happend already), its more of an AI "upgrade". A really crappy one though ,it makes melee classes play tag with you(warriors healing signet, assassins shadow refuge and dervishes do vital booning or something) and makes all the other classes start running if you target them first over others usually priests , then necros and then mesmers and elementalists they want to simulate pvp or something.

Personally I dont see what was wrong with it before o well.

They are running away because they are hurt and you have a low number of people in your party.

The "AoE nerf" was expanded for Nightfall: When you have a low number of people in your party and you are fighting crowded up melee monsters, they are programed to run away and regen their hp.

Regardless of how many people you have in your party any mobs above 3 baddies whose health gets below a certain precentage will have some aggro drop.. you will never have an entire mob drop.. three will stay at any given time.. and then the aggro will cycle in fresh baddies continuously.

or if another person casts on the tank while he is tanking the mob.. they will drop right away.. almost before the spell is cast. but in this instance they just drop and change there target to the caster of the spell. in this instance some aggro is usually left on the tank
