NF Brains or Brawn quest hero

I just finished the Brains or Brawn quest and want to know if I did something wrong because I wound up with the wrong hero. I chose Goren to be the guard for Zerai so I could get Norgu as my hero. As soon as I made that choice Goren appeared with the Goren's Stuff: Part 1 quest and I wound up with him as my hero. I have been told by other members in my guild that they have chosen Norgu and also wound up with Goren as the hero.

From the description of the Brains or Brawn quest chosing Goren for the guard should have given me Norgu as my hero. I have also seen that on guildwiki. So, what happened? Will I be able to get Norgu later in the game or am I stuck with this slug?

Once you beat the game, you can get the heroes you couldn't get from the campaign. Hope this helps.

Whomever you send to guard Zerai is gone and you get the other as a hero. You must have read it wrong. Besides, Norgu has uses. You already have Koss. Enjoy the little Actor.

I think what we have here is a case of not reading.
He read, he picked goren to GO, he wanted norgu... he got goren.

I haven't gotten this far with my character who chose margrid, but I do remember hearing a rumor that if you take margrid you get goren either way? Like I said tho, I cannot confirm nor deny this.

another option, if you have NOT accepted the quest reward is to pop back to town and abandon it, I cant remember how this quest plays out though so that may not work here.

I've got Margrid, but I've also just started the Norgu quests so I dont think thats true

Unfortunately, you'll be stucked with Goren. You can, however, get a quest from Norgu when you complete the final mission so that you can recruit him later.

When you have just completed the final mission, you'll be required to run through a long pathway filled with NPCs. Norgus and the other heroes that you have not recruited will be standing around so look out for them.
