I just want to suggest they open this quest to exploration if you dont want to do the challenge side of it.

Its not a huge thing. Im sure I can get through the challenge with practice to gain the exploration.... but Its just an idea.

Im only really posting this because ive tried it a few times now, and I realise this is due to a lack of experience with the challenge, but it seems very challenging.... no pun intended.

Scrap that; 10th try and I feel like screaming.

I equipped a melee weapen instead of casting weapons.
I camp by greater insects and wait for the ghost to apear, kill it and get the virtually non-existant resistance and very short time period in which you can dmg it.
I manage to kill one or two if im lucky.
Then im low on health.
I used tunnel to knock over beatles and then bite to heal = it didnt heal or very little.
By the time it recharges another ghost apears and i cant do the same trick and im still health down on health.

Ive asked people in town, and on websites and read guildwiki for tips. I tried them all. As wrote.

Ive managed to get passed the first gate ONCE, but was getting chased by a ghost and died on the first hit due to no health.

I know that probably all makes me sound like a noob who doesnt know how to fight hand to hand!!

Thats because I dont.
Im a caster and always have been.
I have no experience of close combat, stances, melee or anything like that.

The reason? I dont like it.
I dont like playing warriors.
So ive never done it.
Ive chosen not to, because why play a build or profession I dont enjoy or get pleasure from.

Now because I need exploration (currently on 95%) Im having to
1) fight alone (which i dont mind, except for...)
2) I have to use a close combat build which ive never done before and dont like.

I like the challenges.
I think the previous one in Elona is good.
You get a team, and can use YOUR skill set and profession.

But this one isnt very open-ended.

As mention, it forces you to use a close combat build, a warrior build. Now thats fine if youve done that before. But as I said. I havent and im sure lots of others havent.

So there is no selection in skills, no ability to actually use your profession. Your restricted and its frustrating.

If there was some way to change the worm skills to a casting build, I would personally find it alot better.

I realise some will say "well just get used to the skills, learn them."

Its not that easy, if you really dont like that kind of combat. There is a huge difference between close combat and distance casting. Both are effective, but both rely on you liking it and enjoying it.

If you dont enjoy something, you wont learn it.

I propose they make that area explorable, OR give us the ability to edit worm skills to a casting build, OR increase recharge times on the skills needed to heal OR actually make a specific worm healing skill which doesnt rely on knocking over.

Do something because the challenge is just frustrating.

I should say. I actually managed to explore this area really easily. So I partly apologise for saying it would be really hard.

I just opened each door one each run and explored inside.

Opening the first door isnt that hard. Its getting the rest open aftwards.

But I still stick my original comment saying it isnt fair on those not-use to close combat, and it is virtually impossible if you want complete the challenge.

I got 100% WITHOUT completely exploring that area.

I could never get more than 100 point there, I lack patience to do so.

Once I got 100%, in addition to My remaining spots in Cristal Overlook and Sahlahja I would have easilly over 103%

To explore that area, I made this:
- Run to a greater infestation, and kill near minor ones.
- Once you feel the Madened Soul, kill the Greater, then that mad spirit.
- Run to nearest greater infestation, rinse and repeat.

Do that until you unlock an are you have not explored, run to wall and wrap the wall.

I did that to uncover around 65% on Sahjala.

If they open this area to exploration, they shoul make Vizunah and all the Prophecies Missions explorable too.

My Tyria character has 98.5% of elona explored and I have walled hugged every area i could and as far as i know, the only place i can get the rest is from remains. Mithran how did you get to 100%? Think you could give me some tips or something?

I had no trouble exploring the area either. But I still haven't got 100%. I didn't explore the garden area before it fell, so I have to wait till I've finished the game to get it (which is gonna be awhile, since i don't play that character much anymore.

Perfect example of when you make a post in the heat of frustration, forget you even posted it and then someone opens it up again
