Hi, I recently experience an annoying bug.
Everytime I want to close the client by using the [X] button, nothing happen, client still running, ctrl+alt+del don't make the tasks manager pop, alt+tab don't work neither, the only solution is to reboot my computer OR switch to windowed mode and close the window.
Any idea why this happen and how to get rid of it please? it only happen since 3 or 4 days and still a mystery.
NOTE: all windows(xp) / antispyware / antivirus / cleaners are up-to-date
Thanks for your reading and answers.

Is it that GW will not exit?, you could try the old Alt F4 trick to close

Sounds like Windows is having a hard time putting stuff away.
Will GW close/shut down after a while...or never, how long we talking about?
Is the Guild Wars application locked up?
Does Windows Task Manager say it's "not responding".
How's your Virtual memory settings? Sometimes it's a good idea to reset them, turn VM off, reboot, then turn back on.
And, are you running low on hard drive space? If your disk space is getting cramped Windows has a lot more juggling to do with memory intensive tasks.
Have you defragged your hard drives recently? A very badly fragmented hard drive creates performance issues.
Additionally, you may want to close some programs running in the background to see if that has any impact. Close AV programs, as they often try to do things that hurt performance...scanning the GW.dat for instance.
Just a matter of isolating problems. Use the Windows Task Manager to look at what is running on your PC.

So I try to wait for client to close but in vain.
I can press ctrl+alt+del and wait then the task manager show me a nice "Not Responding".
My harddrive is defragmented every night and I have 113GB free. I gonna try to turn off virtual memory, defrag then put back on (actually 2GB same amount as my ram, dunno if it's enough) and for the AV I gonna close it when I play.

Well I was bored of an half funtionnal game, so I uninstall it, clean Windows with CCleaner and reinstall from the CD's, all is ok for now.
